Christmas 2024

Christmas Day in the BVI is like no other! These folks do such an amazing job that even on a day where you end up floating past Conch Island for a couple of hours, they can turn the whole day around with their amazing food & drinks. We felt super special going to a rock jumping spot without any other boats and being lead to world altering snorkle adventures. The beach bars were also a huge hit.

This was truly a unique way to travel. The Kuma Too is a special boat with an incredible crew. Sailing is such a beautiful way to spend time with loved ones and rekindle a childhood love of fish!

You make everything look SO effortless - where do you keep the housekeeping and maintenance elves? And - the variety of place settings was astonishing!

There are so many incredible memories over the week I am not sure where to start. We had a blast just chilling out in the most beautiful coves and spending time with our best friends and Joe and Mandy. Dinner at Anegada was incredible as was the Baths. Joe grilling the most amazing lobster and Mandy preparing amazing dish after dish kept us full and happy.

When we think of the islands or sailing in the future, there is only 1 sailing team we will ever go with. Kuma Too Rocks!!

April 1-8, 2024

Joe and Mandy are incredible hosts! Their attention to detail is impeccable! Joe finds the perfect bays & beaches & peaceful spots to anchor & take in all the amazing scenery - both above and below the water. Mandy's cooking is out of this world!! Every meal was unique & fabulous in both presentation & flavor! They took the time to get to know us & always picked the perfect things for us to enjoy every single day!

Favorite Memories include: snorkeling in the most beautiful clear blue water, stargazing, a day in Anegada - lobsters and conch, baby oil on the water pad - who can face off first :-), Jost Van Dyke, White Bay, Tipsy Shark, drinks of the day, pork belly ramen, rainbows, tubing, kneeboarding, and kayaking.
Even old "Dad" was keeping up with boys and their sliding on the pad and an epic knee board ride with sunset.

Thank you for opening up your amazing home & giving us the best vacation we have ever experienced! We're not sure how we can return to normal life after such red carpet treatment! There is no other way to vacation in the BVI!!

The extraordinary experiences we shared on this trip with the incomparable Mandy and Joe will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts. Every quiet cove and wonderous snorkel spot (Scrub Island, The Indians, Diamond Cay off Sandy Spit, Ginger Island, Peter Island, Norman, etc) We loved SUPing in the mangroves off Beef Island, and meeting the locals in Great Harbor, Jost Van Dyke. So much beautiful sea life under the water - the gorgeously blue Caribbean Sea! Every meal Mandy prepared was delicious and inviting. The upkeep and detailed maintenance & cleanliness of the boat were much appreciated.

This was our first sailboat charter in the BVI - our first crewed charter ever. We had high expectations but were uniformly blown away(!) by Mandy and Joe's phenomenal teamwork to keep us all happy and everything working smoothly. We were able to relax to the fullest, felt pampered and care for, SAFE & SECURE in Joe and Mandy's friendly and professional hands. We are honored and grateful to have had this time together with Mandy and Joe on Kuma Too! <3

P.S. Daily cocktail specials were excellent! Delicious painkillers, margaritas, purple rains (mocktails too!) bushwhackers and great wine selections - paired by Mandy to go perfectly with all of her scrumptious delights!

P.P.S. We also loved sailing on the sleek, super fast KUMA TOO. The lines and look of this yacht are unique and attractive - for us a cut above many of the other charters out there.

-Snorkeled, floating mat, swings, whatever we wanted. other toys were available, but we did not use them.

-Food was excellent! Loved the menu changes from next year, and our old favorites were included as well.

-Joe and Many were wonderful. They treated us like family, kindred spirits who love the water. Could not have asked for better hosts.

Joe & Mandy found all the best places. We had such great places for snorkeling, standup paddle boarding, and kayaking, and we even had a nice hike. Joe & Mandy are the best tour guides plus they set us up to watch beautiful sunsets every evening. The food, drinks, and presentation was delicious. We couldn't choose a favorite meal because we enjoyed so many. The trip was a great time with friends, and Joe & Mandy made it perfect!

Where to begin?! Joe & Mandy are absolutely amazing and cater to our every need. The meals were all fantastic and the cuisine was so diverse. We especially enjoyed the seafood. The bartender created a new concoction every day and no cup went empty for long. Every day brought new adventures in snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, shelling, and more. The bioluminescent worms were a big hit along with the fireworks, eagle ray circle dance and more. My recommendation, take at least one annually! (A trip with Joe and Mandy)

Joe and Mandy rock!! Sail the Kuma Too to see the best spots, enjoy 5-star meals, drink creative concoctions, explore underwater gardens, and if you are really lucky, tickle the dragon. Highly recommend!!
We made two new lifelong friends in Joe & Mandy and hope to have many reunions!

This is our second charter with Joe & Mandy. Our first was a year ago and we knew then we would return. Joe and Many truly set the standard in the chartering industry. 1. How did you enjoy your charter?
A wonderful experience in all regards. The itinerary Joe and Mandy planned was perfect for the New Year and my 75th birthday celebration. We spent New Year's Eve anchored off Necker Island where we saw the most amazing fireworks and drone exhibition imaginable.

2. How would you describe your crew? Were they courteous, helpful, friendly, attentive,
knowledgeable?
From our initial meeting in Road Town to our departure from West End, Joe and Mandy were the perfect hosts. Every aspect of our trip exceeded our expectations. Their teamwork to deliver a fabulous experience is unique and admirable.
Joe and Mandy were extremely knowledgeable about the area, offering daily suggestions on where to go / what to do - all based on understanding our desires for the day. Their level of service was impeccable. It was indulgent in every way!

3. Was the yacht comfortable, clean and well maintained?
Kuma Too was spotless and everything worked without a problem. Our group of 4 provided some extra space but a group of 6 would be very comfortable as well.
Mandy and Joe are extremely attentive to the yacht - you can tell they have much pride in their floating home. It was impressive how clean they kept everything each day. They also paid attention to the small details, from the décor to the comfort of the beds selected.

4. How would you describe the quality and presentation of the meals served on board?
The meals and presentation were exceptional. Every meal, appetizer and beverage served was consistently high quality and delivered in a gracious manner. Many small details such as different table runners and decorations every day contributed to our enjoyment.
We honestly don't know why anyone would opt to eat off the yacht. Mandy's meals were outstanding and better than any restaurant food. Joe goes above and beyond with his cocktail creations, offering a cocktail of the day plus any other drink you may
desire.

5. Did the crew pay close attention to your preference sheets?
All food, beverage and activities were aligned with our requests. Mandy and Joe quickly understood our daily habits and were there to accommodate every need from early morning coffee and fruit plates to any other needs we had.

6. How did you find the services offered by Paradise Connections?
This was our first time arranging a yacht cruising vacation. Paradise Connections was informative and helpful in making our charter selection. I appreciate the prompt replies to my inquiries and making the entire booking process trouble free.

7. Would you be interested in taking another yacht vacation in the future?
This was a "bucket list” adventure for me that I thoroughly enjoyed. I still have other adventures I want to experience while I can, so I don't know if another yacht cruise is in the cards at this time. For the other couple that traveled with us - they found the experience to be something they would love to do again.

8. If so, would you like to charter the same yacht and crew?
I would definitely like to go with Joe and Mandy on Kuma Too if another charter is possible.

9. Did you stay in a hotel before or after your charter? If so, which one and what are
your comments?
We stayed 5 days at Crystal Cove Condos, Sapphire Bay near Red Hook prior to our cruise. This accommodation was very nice with a great beach location. We did need taxi service to get into Red Hook that was very expensive for such a short trip. It was within walking distance but not safe to do so.
We stayed two nights after our cruise at The Anchorage Condos, also near Red Hook. Not quite what was advertised but acceptable for the short term. Bring your bug spray.

10. May we use you as a reference?

Thank you again for such a wonderful week! Traveling home...we fell happily into our beds after having an incredibly relaxing and satisfying week with you. We are still combing through pictures, which make us laugh, feel proud, remind us of the peace & beauty of BVI, and make us hungry! What a dream!

Thanks also for being such great sports about the foil - we are all tickled that we got to try and that each of us experienced our own personal growth. Addison has been the least dramatic person ever about the jellyfish encounter... but thank goodness he has the rest of us to exaggerate on his behalf. Thank you again, Joe, for being such a great medic (one of your many many hats)!

Mandy, we still talk daily about your meals, and you inspired the kids to try their hand at seared tuna. Sushi grade was more difficult to find than we anticipated, but once we did, Nevin and Addi seared it for us with a side of Asian slaw. Yum!!!

From start to finish this trip is the epitome of "a trip of a lifetime". What a GIFT it is that Mandy and Joe provide. The ability to be completely immersed in nature while being together in the present moment. Unplugging at its finest. The food and beverages were out of this world. When you arrived, your first impression of the yacht was:
-Extremely welcoming and comfortable. The entire boat was clean and orderly. Joe and Mandy did an excellent job of explaining the do’s and don’t’s and what to expect on board.

What did you think about your accommodation?
Cabins, beds, bathrooms:
-All accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Plenty of storage. No complaints whatsoever!! The pics on the website were very helpful to set expectations.

Salon, cockpit, deck space:
-Again, very comfortable and plenty of space for everyone on board.

Was the boat kept clean during your charter (your cabins, the bathrooms/heads, your towels, bedding, the cockpit, the galley)?
-The cabins were refreshed with turn down service and the trash bins were emptied daily. Towels were refreshed as well during charter.

Did you miss anything on board?
-Joe and Mandy made sure nothing was missed. They even offered anti-nausea medication for my daughter who had eaten something prior to the charter that didn’t agree with her and tended to a bleeding toe nail by one of the passengers.

What did you enjoy the most on board?
-What we enjoyed most about the charter was:
1. the very relaxing nature of the entire 7 days. It was exactly what we were hoping for and it
helped we had excellent weather.
2. the delicious meals that Mandy cooked for us and the Joe’s expertise at bartending, and lastly
3. I personally appreciated the safety measures that Joe and Mandy took that were seamless to folks who aren’t experienced boaters.

-Both Joe and Mandy demonstrated the utmost professionalism while simultaneously making us feel comfortable with jokes and friendly banter.

-How can anyone not like BVI? The on board paddleboards, kayaks and swimming aids made every afternoon another day in paradise.

Captain Joe and Mandy are incredible hosts! Anything we needed they anticipated beforehand and served us with a smile. The sailing was phenomenal and Captain Joe made sure we sailed in the best situations possible. Mandy’s meals were absolutely incredible- the very best chef in the BVI- and her meals are incredibly healthy! The boat is very very clean. Definitely recommend Kuma Too and Captain Joe and Mandy
Thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous cuisines - Mandy cooks like no other - exquisite food every meal.

Captain Joe and Mandy made our week sailing in BVI on Kuma Too truly unforgettable! We sailed to a different bay everyday where there was incredible snorkeling. We would play around out in the water by the boat while Captain Joe and Mandy brought us drinks of the day! All the food Mandy served was top of the line and was OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend sailing on Kuma Too!

Spent a day on Anegada. Joe and Mandy were our tour guides for great lunch at Sid's followed by several bar stops, ending with dinner at Potters. Lots of hidden treasures on this island for sure.
Definitely loved our time at several harbors on Jost Van Dyke. Some of our favorites were Soggy Dollar, Hendo's, Foxy's and Corsairs. We also were treated to a pod of dolphins that swan along with us. Enjoyed the rum tasting and tour at Callwood's Rum Distillery at Cane Garden.

Amazing from start to finish! COVID and health issues delayed our trip, but Joe and Mandy were awesome through it all.
We knew we were in good hands even before we boarded Kuma Too.

Kuma Too has everything you need to enjoy a wonderful time on the water. We appreciated the comfy beds and pristine cabins. Everything was spotless our entire trip.

I learned to snorkel and tried my skills on the paddle boards. Mostly we enjoyed floating on the lily pad or chair hammocks. While sailing the trampoline and bean bag chairs were our favorite spots. We were also able to take a nice hike to a secluded bay. Nights star gazing or watching the incredible aquatic life off the back of Kuma Too were amazing.

Joe is a fabulous captain, always looking out for our safety. He’s also a mighty fine water sport coordinator, hiking buddy, bartender, DJ and dancer!

Mandy is an amazing cook, always presenting the most beautiful and flavorful meals! The dining table had fresh decorations every day, such a nice touch. I also loved watching her co-captain their floating home, she is small but mighty.

They both provided a level of service we’ve never experienced before, and still create a friendly, homey atmosphere. After a week together I happily think of them as friends!

Joe and Mandy are great! They have the ability to anticipate their guests wants and needs. Their company was amazing! Mandy is an excellent chef and Joe is a master at drinks and dishwashing :-) DJ Joe knows how to keep a party rolling. They made sure all had a great time and ensured safety with everything. They truly care about their guests! It was fun trying new things and the experiences were fantastic! The sailing and relaxation of the week is a memory we will never forget!!

Our anniversary dinner on board at Peter Island was so special, brought us to tears! Little Jost Van Dyke – lunch at B-Line, bubbly pool on JVD. Snorkeling the caves at Norman Island. Water sports at Peter Island – snorkeling, tubing, kayaking. Hanging with Lucy at the Sandbox on Prickly Pear Island (great margaritas!) Spending the day driving around Anegada with Joe and Mandy – bar crawl!! – Honour Bar! “We broke the Moke!!” Big Bamboo, Cow Wreck, Tipsys :-) Lobsters at Sids, “Margaritas” that light you on fire at Potters :-) Final day at Cane Garden Bay, “where it all began”, dinner at Indigo House. All of the incredible meals made by Chef Mandy, sailing up on the beanbags.
Our week aboard Kuma Too was an absolute dream come true! Joe and Mandy are wonderful hosts who are just spectacular at what they do. They take all the work out of the traveling and you’re able to just enjoy every moment of the every day aboard Kuma Too. No detail isn’t thought of, they put a beautiful, thoughtful personal touch on the entire experience! We’re so grateful to have had this experience and to call Mandy and Joe friends! We’ll be back!!

Dolphins, stingray and turtles, oh my! What a great week of avoiding the winds and tucking back in some amazing coves. January 29 - February 6, 202

This was our second trip with Joe and Mandy. It was even better than the first. We did a sleep aboard the first night (highly recommend) that allowed an early start the next day. We sailed every day and snorkeled in beautiful locations. We saw turtles, rays, spotted eagle rays, squid, dolphins, and so much more!! Food was awesome. Mandy works wonders in a tiny space. I loved Drunk Bay and the dolphin in Coral Bay! Tom loved everything. Next year? B6 2024!!
Joe and Mandy are excellent hosts that quickly turn into friends. Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful trip. Thank you for making our “date night” so special!! Looking forward to seeing you the same time, next year!

New Years Charter

What an incredible week we had! Joe and Mandy could not have been better hosts. They anticipated our every need and treated us like royalty! Joe’s amazing cocktails, playlists, skills on the grill and Mandy’s amazing meals are seared in our memories. We loved the sailing, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking and just the downtime to read and visit. We cannot wait to return and wouldn’t want to be on any other boat than the Kuma Too with Joe and Mandy!

P.S. We spent New Year’s Eve on the boat, and Mandy and Joe provided us with the most special evening including a special meal and view of fireworks! They had also decorated the boat with NYE decorations and lights. So special and thoughtful!

"Snorkeling at Christmas Cove was the best! Sea turtles, starfish, stingray, parrotfish, squid and beautiful coral! We of course loved the beaches and adventures, but the best is spending time with good friends, including Mandy and Joe, sailing the aqua blue seas, Mandy's most incredible food and Joe's great sea stories! Snorkeling was my favorite part! I got to see spotted eagle ray (which I was told was quite rare), sea turtles and even swam with a shark! It was my first time snorkeling and Mandy and Joe made the whole experience so fun and comfortable.
Also having the chance to hike to an old sugar mill and traveling to so many bays and cays made this whole experience a delight!

We can't thank you enough for the absolute best experience we've ever had - it was hard to know what to expect since a charter was so new to us, but anything we could have expected wouldn't come close to the reality of sailing with you and Kuma Too. From the moment we met you both we felt like we had been lifelong friends - we felt welcomed and like you really "got" us. That was also evident in the itinerary which completely reflected all the input we gave you on what we enjoy and what we were looking for on this trip. We've been trying to pick our favorite place, but it's really almost impossible. I think we both agree that our happiest memories were hanging out on Kuma Too listening to music and just taking in all the views. It's honestly the happiest I've ever felt in a lot of ways and that's of course in huge part to both of you. I think I said this when we were there, but you're both so incredibly good at what you do, but you don't make it look like a job. The moments that we saw how excited you were for something (the epic sale between Lovango and Congo Cay, the incredible sunset at Lameshur Bay) were also so special to us - your love for Kuma Too and the USVI only heightened our happiness in those moments (even Lady Lyndsey couldn't ruin it!). I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention Mandy's incredible food - every meal was unique and delicious (and gorgeously presented). I'm still dreaming about the crab cakes.

We can't recommend a charter with Kuma Too enough. I can't think of one thing I'd change other than staying longer next time. We really can't believe it's over, but we're so grateful for the memories that we get to relive for the rest of our lives. And of course we plan on returning - we're yachties now!

The week went by so quickly! Sailing, snorkeling every day, watching the marine life and of course, looking forward to the magic that Mandy created in the kitchen. Joe and Mandy were incredibly attentive to our needs, constantly filling up water, providing drinks, or asking if we needed anything. Meal after meal, Mandy provided some of the best courses we've ever had, consistently topping the one previous. Joe put us on some of the best snorkeling I've ever done, with plenty of turtles, vibrant coral and fish, and even an eagle ray sighting! My wife and I are learning to sail, having recently taken the ASA 101 course. Joe and Mandy were kind enough to let us work on both trimming the sails as well as being at the helm, and were very patient as they taught us.

All in all, they gave us the trip of a lifetime, complete with sailing, snorkeling, and sunset watching! Amazing experience, couldn't be happier with it, highly recommend!

Thanksgiving 2021

The trip included our family of five with three children (19, 15 and 6). We were a bit nervous as we had never lived on a boat for six days before!

We all agreed that the experience from Captain Joe and Chef Mandy was absolutely fantastic! We started every morning with a fresh pressed coffee in our hand followed by a wonderful breakfast before the morning activities. At the conclusion of the activities, we climbed back aboard for a beautiful lunch as we powered up for afternoon sailing witnessing the amazing views of the keys and islands. As we reached our destination for the evening, happy hour was upon us which gave us an opportunity to unwind and prepare ourselves for a fantastic nightly dinner!

Joe and Mandy were keenly aware of that empty drink that needed a refill or a top off of more food on the plate. The history of the islands was fascinating as Joe had a great understanding of how the islands came to be.

Our adventure lasted six days and it was filled with lasting memories as we visited many bays, keys and islands, enjoyed water sports, snorkeling and winding down every night before witnessing the bright moonrise.

It was sad to leave and return to normalcy but the experiences we had are enough to last one year....until we see them again!

Wow, where do we begin, it was all so memorable. We wanted to just R & R and this was it! We loved all the snorkeling it was amazing! The food was 5 stars and Joe and Mandy are first class and made us feel right at home and were there for us no matter what we needed. Lameshur Bay was our favorite place to just hang out. We would do this again in a heart beat but only on this boat with Joe and Mandy.

We have just returned from a vacation that has been a dream for many years. Sailing with Capt. Joe and Capt. Mandy made the trip even better then we could ever have expected. The Kuma Too is a beautiful ship that is well appointed and kept impeccably clean. We felt at home from the moment we stepped onboard. There was plenty to keep everyone busy with all the water toys, snorkeling, paddle boards, kayaks and rafts. With BVI not being open to visitors Joe and Mandy created an incredible trip exploring the USVI. So many beautiful coves, bays, beach bars, and sea turtles. We even saved enough energy to enjoy a hike up to the ruins of the sugar cane plantation, escorted by Joe. Joe and Mandy are just full of knowledge about the area and are ready to share all about each stop that we made. The three mouthwatering meals prepared for use each day were outstanding. Mandy performs magic in that galley! Joe works his magic at the bar with delicious drinks of the day along with beers and wine always available. Everyone was always kept well hydrated and happy. From beginning to end this was truly a dream vacation and we can't wait to return for more.

We were lucky enough to have an encore trip on the Kuma Too. It was just as great as our first trip. Joe and Mandy are great hosts and took us to many peaceful harbors. The scenery was spectacular. A unique experience was eating at Lime In. We got to see the islands from a different perspective. Mandy is an excellent cook and we looked forward to our meals. Joe had some good drinks of the day for us in addition to painkillers, bushwackers and margaritas.

We had the best vacation ever!! My husband and I have been on two other chartered yacht vacations and this was by far our best!!

Mandy and Joe were most of what made it a great experience! They were professional but also fun :) by day two they already knew our wants and needs before we would even have to ask.

When we arrived in the pouring rain, Mandy and Joe were still waiting there for us and helped us with all our (yes we brought too much) luggage. And did it with a smile on their faces (behind their masks-lol) The Kuma Too was immaculately clean and all the rooms were set up so cute :) the beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows and comfy sheets. the bathroom had nice towels and plenty of ocean friendly toiletries.

The salon, cockpit and deck space were always kept clean, I don't know how they did it with all six of us constantly leaving stuff all over! Everything was kept clean during our entire stay!

The food, presentation and taste, were amazing! All meals were yummie! I will definitely be getting some of her recipe's!!

I can't imagine anything else we may have needed on board as they had floaties, paddle boards, kayaks and snorkel equipment! They had bottles for us all to drink from and catered to our every need!

We enjoyed mostly having Mandy and Joe as our captains and cooks! They were amazing! We have made new friends!! I still don't know how they did it all while keeping us all hydrated! They would drop us off on a beach and then bring us all the toys (kayaks, snorkels, paddle boards) and also coming back to fill our coolers before we could even call to ask (and that was often!-lol)

They also had some great playlists for our nightly dance parties! And Joe was a great DJ to find every silly and old songs we could think of!

I just can't say enough nice things about this extraordinary experience on board the Kuma Too with Mandy and Joe!!

January 2021

My family just got back from a week aboard KUMA TOO with Mandy and Joe. Everything about the trip was 5 star! The boat itself is immaculate and has all the creature comforts. There was plenty to do to keep active with the toys which include snorkeling gear, knee board, kayaks, and giggles and chuckles (inflatable friends). The paddle boards were used everyday and perhaps some not so flattering pictures of mom were snapped!

The BVI was closed to tourism so Joe and Mandy designed an itinerary in the USVI that was amazing! They explained everything about the different moorings and anchorages and they knew just how to get us a spot in tiny little nooks with as few as 5 moorings!

Pampered. Pampered. Pampered. The food was amazing in both quality and presentation and there was certainly enough of it! The drink of the day and all of the cocktail and beer specials kept us all just shy of drunken sailors. Mandy and Joe are the PERFECT hosts. They make you feel special and comfortable from the minute they meet you.

Favorite Memory/Recommendation:
All of it! From the moment we boarded the boat until our final hours - perfection. Each day was a blessing. RELAXING in the coves and relaxing on the boat. Every creature comfort was attended to by both Mandy and Joe. The food was "crazy good", the drink of the day was amazing & our ability to just flop & relax was awesome.
There was no better way to sail away from 2020! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you - all the birthday decorations & cake were much appreciated.

Christmas 2020

We went on the 18th of Dec for a week. We had no idea what to expect. Joe and Mandy made us feel immediately comfortable. Words cannot explain our experience. Much more than amazing. The food was delicious and plentiful, as were the drinks. Joe is a great bartender. I normally don't drink until 5 and he set his alarm to remind himself to ask me for a drink. By the end of the trip Joe and Mandy were our friends. They took us to the best coves where we could snorkel, and use their water toys. We had an incredible Christmas on the Kuma Too and wait till we can return.

This trip was way beyond our highest expectations. Joe and Mandy set the bar for taking care of customers so high I do not see how anyone else could ever achieve the same level. Their professionalism mixed with our fun interactions made this trip extra special. The food was Chef Ramsey level!!! I had only planned on doing this once in a lifetime, but now we are doing another trip for sure on the Kuma Too.

How did you enjoy your cruising vacation?
It was truly one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve taken.

How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable?
Joe and Mandy could not have been more professional and courteous. They were extremely attentive and did their absolute best to ensure we were comfortable at all times. They have a great grasp on the sites and nuances ‘not-to-be-missed’ while allowing us to take time to enjoy excursions on shore as well.

Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
First, there is NO chance you will go hungry (or thirsty) on Kuma Too! Better yet, the food is amazing. What Mandy (and Joe) crank out of the kitchen is nothing short of 5-Star. We were blown away (no pun intended) with the variety, quality and presentation. We also have three children with their own preferences and they all were well satisfied.

How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?
Kuma Too was spotless, well-maintained and very comfortable.

What did you like most about the yacht? What did you like the least? If you could change anything, what would have made you happier?
We loved Kuma Too. Her size fit our family of 5 very well with plenty of room to spread out and lounge during the day and sleep comfortably at night. Can’t really think of anything I didn’t like about her. In hindsight, we might’ve tried a different mooring opportunity on our last afternoon/evening given the odd swell that came in (no fault of the crew), but other than that we were extremely happy.

How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
The itinerary was great. We’d never sailed the USVI nor the BVI, so we didn’t have an agenda or preconceived notion that we were ‘missing out’ by not sailing the BVI. In fact, getting to circumnavigate St John and St Thomas, with plenty of time to go ashore on beautiful beaches, great short hikes, and experience some local flare was a terrific balance. The USVI’s are definitely under-marketed and well worth exploring, as we were lucky to do.

This was an amazing vacation! My husband and I didn’t lift a finger. The kids had a blast with all the water activities (floats, tubing, knee boarding, paddleboarding & kayaking) and Josh & I were able to sit back and relax. We didn’t worry about cooking or cleaning up for any meals. Mandy provides ample snacks for my “growing” boys and did all of it with a smile on her face... even at 6am with my little one. Joe didn’t let our drinks hit the bottom and was the best “boat driver”. He found great snorkeling spots with a variety of marine life and colorful coral. Joe and Mandy have great communication and made our trip seamless. They even helped celebrate our anniversary and one of the boys birthdays. I appreciated all their efforts and we were super impressed. This boat is their home and they take great care of it.

We've been to the Virgin Islands many times and this, by far, is the best way to see it all! The BVI's boarders were closed due to COVID but we loved every minute of the USVI. Our favorites included the airplanes at Brewers Bay, the beauty of Magen's Bay and Chuckles, the snorkeling off of Congo Key, the turtles and sting rays at Maho Bay, meeting up with family and friends at Waterlemon, the quietness of Lameshur, the party at Lime Out, and all the boats at Christmas Cove!

Joe - thanks for all the fun times and great experiences. Thanks for playing with the kids and taking them tubing for hours.

We just returned from a spectacular week sailing with Joe and Mandy. There are not enough superlatives to describe our week with them. They were both so accommodating to our every need and want. The meals were first class and plentiful. Snacks were tasty. Joe was a great bartender, especially painkillers and bushwackers💜. Our itinerary was spot on and they made every attempt for us to see exactly what we asked for and exceeded it! Mandy’s cooking skills in the tiny kitchen was truly amazing! Thank you so much Mandy and Joe. This was a top rated vacation and we hope to see you again.

We were not aboard long before it was obvious we could rely on Joe & Mandy's knowledge and professionalism to take us on a tour of a lifetime through the beautiful secrets held by the USVI and BVI. Aside from their gregarious and welcoming nature, Joe & Mandy created made-from-scratch culinary delights for every meal. We had no desire to eat on shore as we looked forward to the next surprise Mandy had in store for us. We were very happy to have paid for full board. We enjoyed getting in the water in the quiet coves we found each night. The colors, aromas, and sea breezes delighted 24/7. It was easy to forget we were actually guests in their home as they were constantly attending to every need of their guests. We are staying in the USVI another week, but wish we could stay on the boat with Mandy & Joe.

When you arrived, your first impression of the yacht was:
Very clean and professional. Joe and Mandy had birthday decorations for me. Very sweet.

What did you think about your accommodation?
Cabins, beds, bathrooms: Clean and comfortable. Much roomier than expected.

Salon, cockpit, deck space:
Plenty of space. We rarely spent time inside the boat.

Was the boat kept clean during your charter (your cabins, the bathrooms/heads, your towels, bedding, the cockpit, the galley)?
We had twice daily maintenance and turn down service. We definitely felt spoiled.

Did you miss anything on board?
Like my dog or my socks? Not sure what the question means.

What did you enjoy the most on board?
On board the vessel or on our trip? I enjoyed sitting up front while sailing. The crew had constant attention to the sea life and commentary on the surrounding islands.

Please describe your Captain (professional/outgoing/friendly etc.)
Joe and Mandy have a genuinely outgoing disposition. They were professional, courteous and went above and beyond in EVERY aspect of our trip.

What do you think about your itinerary, the places and bays you visited and the activities you have done?
A great smattering of places to explore during our first visit. They gave us plenty of options and flexibility.

Please describe your chef (professional/outgoing/friendly etc.)
She went out of her way to accommodate many of us with dietary restrictions. Her food was gourmet and delicious, even with modifications. Mandy was always sure we were satisfied and had our plates full.

Please describe your meals (presentation, quality, quantity)
Beautiful presentations with each plate colorful and full. We always had plenty to eat. Most of what we ate was sourced locally and fresh. There was always food. We ate when we weren’t hungry. There were drinks and food at our beckon call. It was embarrassing how much we consumed.

Do you feel the meals and drinks reflected the requests you made in your preference sheet?

The whole trip was beyond our expectations! Our favorite part was just the ability to relax any time & for as long as we wanted. Learning to be on island time was well worth it! The discovery dive was a highlight, as well as all the snorkeling. However, just being on the front of the boat enjoying the wind and water was the most enjoyable!!
Joe and Mandy are TOP NOTCH!! We didn't want for anything the entire trip! They really know how to make this a home. We cannot think of anything you could have done different or better! Your attention to detail, impeccable service and easy going personalities made it the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. The small things, like our water bottles constantly being full, always having the snorkel gear ready or just the beautiful flowers and table setting, made a big impression!

New Years 2019/2020

The Kuma Too was a great fit for our needs, spacious enough for a family with 4 teens (none of whom are 6ft tall), with lots of water toys. Joe and Mandy were the most pleasant hosts – engaging, fun and safety conscious....Joe and Mandy are a wonderful combo of captain, chef and bartender....Everything we had was delicious! Full breakfasts, lunches and dinners every day. Daily snacks put out. A cooler full of seltzers, beer and sodas was always available. A well-stocked bar enabled Joe to make painkillers, frozen daquiris and piña coladas, mimosas, bloody mary’s, rum punch etc. Joe is a grill master and Mandy an excellent cook.

Joe often went snorkeling with us at different spots or walked with us to an old rum distillery or the Bubbly pools. Other captains may have just given us general directions, but he went with us each time.

They were a delightful couple to talk with. They had a great depth of knowledge about the fun stops through the BVI’s. Their years of experience and tendencies instill great confidence that we would be safe at all times.

We highly recommend Mandy and Joe! They are delightful, have a very strong work ethic, take care of everything and it’s clear they enjoy what they do. We feel super fortunate to have had them as our crew!

Were the staff at none friendly and accommodating?
Mandy and Joe were fantastic! Both were very friendly and took great care of our family. They found the perfect
balance between interaction with our family while also giving us some private time.

Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Kuma Too is in great condition and Joe and Mandy kept the yacht spotless the entire trip.

Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
The meals were wonderful - it is amazing what was produced in the yacht galley. Our family of five, including some
hungry teenagers, were well fed and very satisfied with the meals. We especially appreciated all of the fresh fruits and
vegetables with meals and for snacks.

Was the boat well ventilated?
We were very comfortable at night. Mandy and Joe gave us the option of air conditioning, but we preferred to just keep
the windows/ports open and enjoy the breeze.

Did the staff at none do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes, and they were very responsive to our questions and inquires on how things worked.

Did you like the area you cruised?
Yes, and our trip out to Anegada was one of the highlights of the trip.

Additional comments on your charter?
It was a wonderful holiday for our family. We are always nervous when we try out a new boat and crew, but Mandy, Joe
and Kuma Too exceeded our expectations.

Mandy and Joe are absolutely outstanding in every way. Since this was our second adventure on Kuma Too, it feels like coming back to visit with friends. We ate more in 3 days than we do in a week, and the food was absolutely fabulous! This is the most relaxing way to spend a weekend! If you need to "unplug" and reconnect and enjoy you favorite people - this is how to do it! The sailing was amazing; the island adventures were a blast. The berths were really comfortable and of course, with Joe and Mandy at the helm you knew you were going to be well taken care of & safe. We went with another couple who are great friends of ours -- they had a blast, too. Joe and Mandy even put up with us playing guitars, singing, and turning Kuma Too into a floating music studio - now that is hospitality!! It was the perfect 50th Birthday celebration!

It was no easy task planning a trip with our kids--ages 22, 20 and 11 year old twins, but once we booked a week-long cruise to the Dry Tortugas on the Kuma Too, we looked forward to spending increasingly rare time together. Joe and Mandy were outstanding. They accommodated vegan and vegetarian diets as well as a picky 11 year old. The food was amazing and we left with several recipes to try at home. They facilitated all of our water activities. We snorkeled at Ft. Jefferson, the wreck of The Windjammer off Loggerhead Key, and Woman Key and had many opportunities to swim off the boat and kayak. They made sure we were always comfortable, serving snacks and drinks whenever we needed them, making sure we had water to shower off at the end of our salty days, and cranking on the A/C at night so we all slept comfortably. When we had to alter our schedule because of uncooperative weather conditions, Joe and Mandy quickly found alternatives that actually made our trip even better. We spent an extra night at sea on the way down, but during that night we witnessed a pod of dolphins chasing flying fish alongside the boat under the moon and stars for over an hour! A spectacular scene that none of us will ever forget. I can't say enough about this trip. As we cruised back, we all dreaded seeing land again. Not only was this an adventure of a lifetime, but also chance for us to reconnect and forge deeper connections as a family. Thank you, Joe and Mandy for a week of happy memories!!

My friends and I (six of us total) did a ten-day Christmas/ New Year cruise on Kuma Too. The trip was more than we could have imagined. To begin with, Joe and Mandy were the absolute most accommodating hosts ever. They catered to our individual needs- drinks, food, and comfort. The meals they prepared and served were five star restaurant quality. We all left a bit heavier than when we boarded! (The margaritas were pretty great, too!) They definitely need to create a Kuma Cook Book! Their professionalism and sailing expertise kept me at ease while we were under sail and being transported on the dinghy. I've only briefly sailed once before... but I never ever felt unsafe. Joe and Mandy were also very knowledgeable about our destination locations as wellFort Jefferson/ Dry Tortugas, Loggerhead Key, and Key West! So much so that when Joe toured us around Fort Jefferson, random people would stop to listen and ask him questions! I could go on and on about the awesomeness of our trip... a lot of the credit goes to Joe and Mandy. I highly recommend sailing with them! Looking forward to booking again for another adventure with them!

Sailing with Kuma Too and crew was one of the funnest, unique, top-notch experiences I've had. The boat is roomie enough for you to have your own space but also cozy enough to spend quality time with friends & family. Joe and Mandy where both friendly and personable but also very professional. They really make the boat feel like home for the time you are on it. Sailing is their passion and you can see it in the time and care they put into their boat and charters. They made sure that every detail was taken care of (every meal they made was fantastic) and all needs met for all guests. I wouldn't sail any other catamaran!

Absolutely amazing! I had the opportunity to get away for a week from the hustle and bustle of life on land sailing up and down the gorgeous west coast of Florida. Captains Joe and Mandy Rosello were professional, attentive, fun, great hosts and overall "good people". They made my 1-week sailing experience on their beautiful catamaran, Kuma Too, absolutely unforgettable. The trip was full of beautiful sunrises and sunsets, amazing wildlife (I lost count how many dolphins swam alongside the hulls) and, of course, plenty of rest and relaxation. Additionally, I wanted to better understand the sailing ins and outs and both captains were very informative and thorough in explaining procedures and techniques. Such a great trip! I genuinely enjoyed my time on Kuma Too and wholeheartedly recommend their chartering services. They definitely deliver the services and priceless memories you deserve.
