Where is Carlisle Bay located?
Boating and Anchoring at Carlisle Bay
- Anchorage: The bay provides plenty of room for boats to anchor, with good holding in 10-15 feet of water. The surrounding hills offer protection from strong winds, ensuring a peaceful anchorage.
- Dinghy Dock: The nearby resort is very boat-friendly and has a dock where visitors can land their dinghies, making it easy to access the shore.
What to do at Carlisle Bay
- Resort Visit: During our trip, we stayed at the resort for two days due to maintenance on the boat. The resort offers a beautiful and peaceful setting with excellent facilities. Although the prices are expensive, it can be a great option for a special occasion. The Mother's Day brunch we attended was particularly memorable. You can also use the resort beaches/chairs during the day if you'd like.
- Snorkeling: The eastern side of Carlisle Bay offers interesting snorkeling opportunities. The clear waters and diverse marine life make it a great spot for underwater exploration.
- Scenic Views: While the sunsets are obstructed by the surrounding hills, the evening sky in Carlisle Bay is still a wonderful sight. The serene environment and stunning landscape provide a perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening.
