I believe a 10-day charter is the minimum needed to truly immerse yourself in the beauty and culture of Tahiti and the Society Islands. This timeframe allows you to explore without feeling rushed and includes a visit to the lesser-known Maupiti, weather permitting.

Day 1: Raiatea to Tahaa 

Start your adventure at Marina Apooiti in Raiatea. After a thorough chart briefing, set sail for the east side of Tahaa. Anchor north of Mahea Motu and dive straight into snorkeling near the barrier reef or the Toahotu pass. Dinner aboard or at a local restaurant is the perfect way to cap off your first day.

Day 2: Exploring Tahaa

Set sail from Tahaa’s Papai Pass to Bora Bora’s Teavanui Pass. Anchor at Motu Topua and spend the evening moored at the famous Bloody Mary’s restaurant.

Day 6: Exploring Maupiti

Day 7: Maupiti to Bora Bora 

Make an early start for the return to Bora Bora. Anchor near the pass or pick up a mooring buoy at Bora Bora Yacht Club.

Day 8: Bora Bora to Huahine

Leave Bora Bora early and set sail for Huahine, aiming to arrive by mid-afternoon. Anchor in Fare Bay and spend the evening exploring the charming village of Fare.

Spend the day exploring Huahine's lush landscapes and archaeological sites. Visit Maeva village, one of the most significant archaeological areas in French Polynesia, and enjoy a relaxing day at the beach.

Day 10: Huahine to Motu MiriMiri, Raiatea

Sail back to Raiatea, but make a stop at Motu MiriMiri for snorkeling, swimming, and enjoying the sunset.

  • Faaroa River: If time permits, consider a detour to Faaroa Bay for a kayak or dinghy trip up the Faaroa River.
Return to Base: Head back to the Moorings base in Raiatea the next morning by 10:00 am.
