Anchoring and Accessing the Vanilla Plantations
- Hurepiti Bay: This bay offers excellent shelter but has a challenging entrance due to numerous coral shoals. Use one of the mooring buoys provided by Vanilla Tours and Sophie Boutique. It's advisable to call Alain Plantier for assistance and to secure a mooring buoy.
- Tiva Anchorage: Located north of the Tiva red roof church, you can anchor on a sand shelf in 4 to 6 meters of water. This spot is well protected and offers excellent holding in sandy grounds.
- Vaiorea Bay: Use mooring balls available here for overnight stays and explore the nearby vanilla plantations during the day.
