Where is Cruz Bay in the US Virgin Islands?

Nestled on the western shore of St. John, Cruz Bay is the primary entry point for visitors arriving by ferry from St. Thomas, making it an essential stop for yacht charters exploring the Virgin Islands. Its convenient location offers easy access to the rest of the island and serves as a perfect base for excursions into the Virgin Islands National Park, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and pristine beaches.

Note: many charter companies do not let you anchor or moor in Cruz Bay itself due to primarily private balls and limited anchoring room.  Your best bet is to grab a National Park Service (NPS) mooring ball over at Caneel Bay and dinghy over. That's what we did on our recent bareboat charter guys fishing trip to the USVIs and Spanish Virgin Islands.
