Here's what we think about the Bali Catsmart:
The Bali Catsmart is a compact yet comfortable catamaran designed for smaller charter groups looking for livability and simplicity. One of the standout features of the Catsmart is its use of twin helmstations at deck level, which some crews might appreciate for a more traditional sailing experience. However, if you prioritize visibility, this design might be less ideal compared to catamarans with a raised helm.
In terms of layout, the Catsmart maintains Bali’s signature open-plan design, with a large tilting door that connects the saloon and cockpit. This creates a spacious indoor-outdoor living space that feels much bigger than expected for a boat of its size. Although it's smaller than other models in the Bali lineup, the Catsmart offers practical amenities and plenty of lounging areas, including a solid foredeck for sunbathing. While it sacrifices some of the luxury of larger models, it’s an excellent budget-friendly option for those who don't need the extra space or flybridge. However, its helm design is a trade-off, especially for those used to a raised helm with better sightlines for handling in tight spaces or low-visibility conditions.
