Matt's Take
About the Lagoon 50
While the Lagoon 50 offers additional space and up to six cabins compared to the Lagoon 46, I personally don't think it's a significant enough upgrade unless you specifically need those extra cabins. The design shares much of the DNA of the Lagoon 46, including spacious social areas and comfortable living spaces, but the difference in performance is minimal.
The Lagoon 50 does feature a larger flybridge and an expansive saloon with excellent visibility, but the newer Lagoon 51 has truly refined these elements, making it a better upgrade over the older Lagoon 50. For larger crews or those wanting more cabin flexibility, the Lagoon 50 might be worth considering, but for those happy with the layout and size of the Lagoon 46, the jump may not be necessary.
