Where is Cane Garden Bay?
What to Do in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
Cane Garden Bay is ideal for various water sports, such as kayaking and paddleboarding. The waters are generally calm, perfect for a relaxing swim or a leisurely float. For snorkeling, head to the west end of the beach to explore some interesting coral reefs. While not the best snorkeling spot in Tortola, it offers a delightful underwater experience.
The beach is lined with numerous bars and restaurants, each offering a unique taste of the Caribbean. Our favorite spot is Indigo Beach House, known for its cozy ambiance and extensive cocktail menu.
Just a short walk from the beach, you can visit the Callwood Rum Distillery, one of the oldest continuously operating pot distilleries in the Caribbean. Here, you can learn about the rum-making process and sample different varieties.
Cane Garden Bay is renowned for its sensational sunsets. As the day winds down, grab a drink from one of the beach bars and watch the sun dip into the Caribbean Sea, painting the sky with stunning hues of orange and pink.
Provisioning: Cane Garden Bay is a great, mid-charter stop to re-stock provisions. Check out Bobby's which is walkable from the dinghy dock.
