Evangelos, born in 1976, is a dedicated seaman with 25 years of experience. He began his career aboard commercial and cruise ships, where he honed the skills necessary to effectively manage a vessel. He holds a Commander Class A Master diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos, as well as an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean certificate for both power-driven craft and sailing vessels. Additionally, he has held a skipper’s license since 1998. Evangelos' safety-conscious and professional attitude, combined with his excellent interpersonal skills, make him not only a great captain but also a wonderful companion for exploring the seas. He is fluent in both Greek and English, and his outgoing personality and dedication to ensuring guests' satisfaction contribute to an unforgettable charter experience. Evangelos graduated from the University of Plymouth, UK, with an HND in Marine and Composites Technology and Marine Biology. He also holds a degree in International Business Administration. His passions include surfing, reading, spearfishing, and cycling. His previous yachts include the Perini Navi 45M, S/C Above and Beyond, Sunreef 80, S/Y Niki Classic Schooner 75, S/Y Spindrift Moody 64, M/Y Magna Grecia, deliveries from the UK to Europe, and S/Y Callisto Swan 80.
George Gouriotis – Engineer
George is a skilled and adaptable Marine Engineer from Greece, born in 1994, with a strong passion for vessels of all types. With a background in mechanical engineering from Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, he has gained extensive hands-on experience working across various ships, including luxury yachts, LNG carriers, and bulk carriers. His roles have ranged from Assistant Engineer on M/Y Executive and M/Y Amore Mio II to Third Engineer on M/V Panagia Paravouniotissa. His expertise includes dry dock operations, safety procedures, and engine room resource management, with certifications in advanced fire fighting, survival craft operation, and proficiency in gas and oil tankers. Fluent in Greek and English, he is highly skilled in communication and has advanced proficiency in MS Office applications. With a positive and enthusiastic attitude, he is eager to take on new challenges and contribute his expertise to a professional and dynamic team.
Konstantinos Katsaros - Chef
Konstantinos was born in Athens Greece and graduated from Le monde culinary arts school. He joined yachting in 2004 in various motor and sailing yachts with excellent references along with extensive restaurant and hotel background as a chef. Previous yachts: M/Y NOURAH OF RIYAD 70m, M/Y HASABI 60m, M/Y LADY SARYA 70m, M/Y PROTEUS 35m, S/Y ELEN V 40m, M/Y AMADEUS 33m etc. He has also attended many seminars on Original Mediterranean cuisine and plate decoration. He specializes in Mediterranean, Japanese, Arabic, Thai, fusion, vegan, gluten free and pastries cuisine. Konstantinos is excited to create extraordinary food experiences for the guests on board Project Steel. He has a family and speaks Greek and English
Maria Kinalopoulou - Stewardess
Maria is a highly accomplished Chief Stewardess with extensive experience in the yachting and hospitality industries. With a background spanning luxury yachts, high-end resorts, and fine-dining establishments, she has developed exceptional communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a reputation for delivering superior guest experiences. Her expertise includes food and beverage service, provisioning, inventory management, and event coordination, ensuring seamless onboard operations. Having worked on prestigious yachts such as M/Y Barrents Sea, M/Y Domino, and M/Y Sunrise, she has honed her skills in silver service, housekeeping, and crew leadership. With certifications in STCW safety training and a diploma in holistic massage, she brings a well-rounded skill set to every role. Fluent in Greek and English.Maria is born in Alexandropolis in 1980 and has graduated from the University of Thessaloniki and holds a degree on advertisement and commerce. Her love for the sea made her jump in the yachting sector, working as a stewardess and chief stewardess of various Motor yachts. Maria’s quiet and gentle personality ensures that every guest’s needs are met with a genuinely warm smile. Her goal is that every guest of PROJECT STEEL leaves the yacht with memories for a lifetime.
Olga Kazantzi - Stewardess
Olga is an ambitious and dedicated professional with a strong background in customer service, hospitality, and sales. She is currently pursuing Maritime Studies at Metropolitan College, building on her academic foundation after earning her high school diploma in 2023. Fluent in English at a C2 level, she has also developed essential computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications. Her work experience includes roles as a barista at Coffee Lab, service staff at various cafés and restaurants, and a sales position at Kostis Jewellery, demonstrating her adaptability and excellent customer service skills. With a keen interest in travel, organization, and teamwork, Olga brings creativity, emotional intelligence, and a customer-focused approach to every role. She has also completed a specialized Barista seminar at Coffee Lab, further enhancing her expertise in the hospitality sector. References are available upon request.
Alexandros Soulies – Bosun
Alexandros has joined Yachting since 2008 after a successful carrier as a supervisor on high end restaurants in Mykonos and other islands in Greece following his passion and dream to work on commercial yachts. He started his carrier as a junior Deckhand and since then he has worked on several super and mega yachts like M/Y Adora 60m, M/Y Fairlady 50m, M/Y Diamare 50m, M/Y Libertade 42m, and joined the crew of Project Steel on 2023.
With his genuine smile and outgoing personality Alexandros is the person that will be there to fulfill every request from the quests, when it comes to seamanship knowledge, water toys, and assistance on everything that has to do with the deck department of the vessel, as he has developed all the necessary skills throughout the years to one of the most qualified Bosuns in the Greek Yachting Industry.
Alexandros holds a power boat license, Padi diving license and he is a qualified STCW safety licensed deck officer speaking fluently Greek and English.

Its unanimous, this has been the vacation of a lifetime!! Here we are 11 people from all over the United States, on a yacht in Greece with the best captain and crew anyone could ask for, especially while we were cruising through gale force winds on our way to Mykonos. The remaining few days were spent on private beaches and quant towns that screamed “we live here!” The amazing Project Steel crew went above & beyond to make this the most memorable experience to celebrate three 30th Birthdays. From endless frappes and wine to fuel days on the “Sea bob”, wild theme nights and non – stop group photos. We couldn’t have asked for more fantastic crew!! On our second visit we were happy to find new additions to both the boat and the equipment!! We loved “seabob”!!! We felt safe with Captain John, his knowledge is second to none. This is our second trip onboard p.s. and we are already planning the third! Another magical family holiday and 50th celebration. Everyone from 4 to 74 had the most special, relaxing and memorable holiday! The incredible team of crew did everything and anything to make us comfortable and welcome. They looked after children so well and with so much love ire really meant we could relax! The sandy beached, delicious food, water sports and evening explorations were all we had looked forward to and dreamt of! Captain introduced us the most idyllic islands that we did not knew existed. Chef introduced us special recipes and we had keeping asking for them! This was our 10year wedding anniversary trip. We were married on the island of Hydra 5/22/2008. That trip is what Fairytales are made of. However, this trip by far exceeds what we ever expected. The crew of Project Steel went above ‘beyond to make our anniversary trip a very special romantic occasion as they helped to recreate our wedding day! They became our wedding party! What a wonderful day! Captain John totally earned our respect* trust as he navigated our journey through the most scenic, historic and beautiful locations in Greece! Peter and Thomas were the Captains right & left hands, they made us feel safe and the journey smooth and totally loved their smiles! Chef Myrto is an amazing, talented, creative, Michelin chef ad she uses her culinary skills to please any skeptical palate and she will keep you fat and happy haha! I think I can speak for everyone when I say this was the best holiday we have ever had. All the staff could not have been more attentive, sweet, polite and on point. The beautiful yacht was the most luxurious with more than enough space for our group of twelve. We will be talking about the adventures that came with being on this boat and to all the picturesque swimming spots, beached and caves! We all love and appreciate you guys and thank you so much for putting up with our crazy crew. We will be recommending the crew, captain and Project runway to literally EVERYONE. First of all, I am very proud to say that we were the first to “try” Project Steel, Captain John and his amazing crew three years ago, when my husband told me that we were going to spend a week on a yacht, I was not very enthusiastic. Indeed, I come from a sailing background, I used to visit the Cyclades with my family on my parents sailing boat with my father as a skipper and my mum as a cook. So, to go on a yacht with a whole crew was a big jump! I enjoyed so much my first trip with Project Steel that I took the risk to bring my parents with us this time. And that was a real gamble! But it seems it was a great success! If I took the risk it is because of the boat sturdy, not too fast, not too noisy, not using too much fuel, the closest as you can get to a sailing boat. But most of all we took the risk because of captain John and his amazing crew! Captain John is also from a sailing background. He has a real respect from mother nature and a real love of the sea. And he is clever enough to choose a fantastic team! Antony is amazing! He was a very good cook 3 years ago but now he really is impressive! Elina, Mirto and Efi were very professional, caring efficient, nice and discrete. Nik and Thomas were very helpful with all the watersports and always enthusiastic! Again, we had an amazing time! A perfect holiday on board Progect Steel. Hoe relaxed it made us all feel.The staff so professional, friendly and kind doing all the toy cars they didnt seem to mind! Exciting water sports especially the jet ski. Brave little Max out in the deep sea! Antony, Maria, Roger, Peter, Nick and Captain John will all of the children his biggest fans. Amazing lunches, dinners and chocolate cakes, sorry for all the requests for milkshakes!
Salads, grocery, but we still asked for more getting our appetite swimming back from shore! Max as a Captain in sunglasses and hat and Teddy reading the tides currents and maps! Maria and Leo new best matters going not to be tripped up carrying the plates! Always looking to be on the biggest boat but we know this is the best ship afloat!
From ages 2 to 72 we have had the best holiday its all to sad we want to stay!

1)Captain John : If you look up captain in the dictionary, Johns name is listed. We always felt safe in his capable hands. Best Captain ever!
2)Peter(Takis) : Such a caring Indiradual who was always there to help (and secure wakeboard and paddle boarders).
3)Anthony(Adonis) : He perpetuates beauty externally and though hs preparation of food. Everyday was a culinary adventure.
4)Nick(Spiderman) : He made sucks we all had a fabulous time with him on water sports, especially Dominico!
5)Maria. Maria embodies everything that is beautiful about Greece! We begged her to go home with us.
6)Roger : the first person you see when you wake up and the last you see when you go to bed. Always smiling!
Project Steel was a great boat but without this crew it would not have been as wonderful. Because at the end of the day, its about the people along the journey with you!

Thank you to the best chef I have ever encountered, simple bean and cheese toastie and he will be in Kos as a Windsurf champion and can teach you surf within two tries. Takis is the friendliest, always help you out, always will to go to you. Roger is everywhere at all times, need him and he will be there. Angelina is also helpful, she will make sure you are happy at every moment of the day. Now listen to his advice and let him do his thing, he is the best Captain in Greece! I hope this is the first of many holidays we have in board needless to say we have all fallen in love with the boat, but what has really made this trip so special is the crew! Thank you for a truly memorable holiday.
Fantastic food, awesome crew, stunning scenery & the best amaretto sours cocktails I have ever had. I never thought Id actually wait to extend a family holiday but I would stay on here indefinitely. Many thanks all, see you next year!

It was a great trip! Beautiful Greek Islands, blue sky and amazing view. Clear water, and great mood. You were unbelievable crew. Always there for us. We had a great time, enjoying the best vacation.Thank you all, hope to come back soon!

We are a family of five coming from Switzerland and a friend coming from Bruxelles.We just spent a fabulous week travelling from Faliro to Serifos via Amorgos and its fabulous monastery, Koufonisi and its wonderful beaches, Schoinousa, Irakleia ...Paros...
Coming to Greece we were looking for authenticity, peace, quietness beauty.
And that is just what we found!
The captain was excellent at finding beautiful unspoilt spots to swim and do all sorts of water sports.
The team was great, nothing to say! Professional helpful enthusiastic kind and last but not least they all seemed to get along together. The food on board was very good, homemade and fresh and the comfort of the beds was excellent. Thank you to team who made our trip a real success.
