Captain Andreas is an experienced maritime professional and Yacht Captain with extensive background in private yachts, charter operations, passenger vessels, and commercial shipping. He currently serves as Captain onboard M/Y Miren, where he is responsible for the safe navigation, operation, maintenance coordination, and guest experience. He holds Master <500 GT (near coastal voyages), Chief Mate <3000 GT, Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch, GMDSS General Operator Certificate, ECDIS Operational Use certification (Republic of Cyprus), Ship Security Officer qualification, Speed Boat Operator License, and Sailing Certification (HORC). He joined the yachting industry after gaining early experience as Deck Cadet and Appointed Officer in commercial shipping companies, later progressing into senior bridge roles as Second Officer and operations roles in dry cargo chartering. His yachting experience includes command of private and charter yachts such as M/Y Koukles (21m), M/Y Octopus (19m), M/Y Strike 3 (Azimut 70), Princess 61, and various catamarans and RIB operations, as well as passenger vessel command (23m ferry carrying up to 100 passengers daily), where he ensured strict safety standards and operational reliability. He has also worked in charter operations with high-net-worth and VIP clientele, demonstrating strong seamanship, calm decision-making, and excellent vessel handling in both coastal and island cruising environments. He is known for being highly responsible, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with strong leadership skills and a consistent focus on safety and guest satisfaction. He speaks Greek, English, basic Spanish and German.

Chef: Rona Sheila G. Dapun (Filipino)
Chef Rona is an experienced yacht chef with a long-standing career in both luxury hospitality and the yachting industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science with a minor in English and has further enhanced her professional skills through studies in Culinary Arts, Business Management and a variety of international culinary seminars. Her passion for cooking and continuous development has allowed her to build a diverse culinary background specializing in Mediterranean, Asian and international cuisine. She joined the yachting industry in 2008 as an onboard chef aboard M/Y Mai Five and has since worked on a variety of private and charter yachts including M/Y Lady P, M/Y Salty, M/Y Atlantis, M/Y Almaz, M/Y Elene and M/Y Mama. In addition to her yachting experience, she also served as Embassy Chef for the Sudan Embassy in Athens, where she was responsible for preparing high-standard international cuisine and catering official events. Her extensive background allows her to adapt effortlessly to different guest preferences and dietary requirements. Chef Rona is known for her professionalism, reliability, and warm personality onboard. With many years of experience in both hospitality and administration, she brings excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to every yacht she joins. Passionate about cooking and continuous learning, she enjoys creating flavorful dishes inspired by Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. She speaks English and Filipino fluently.

Stewardess: Melanie Guinabar (Filipino)

Melanie is onboard M/Y MIREN for the last three years. She is an adaptable, flexible and easy-going person. Also, she is a good communicator with a great eye for detail. As a reliable hardworking crew member, she thrives as a part of the team and likes to bring a positive uplifting energy. Melanie will warmly welcome the guests onboard M/Y MIREN and will work hard during the charters to ensure a relaxing and unforgettable cruise. She speaks English.

Deckhand/Sailor: Khumo Newman (British/Botswana)

Khumo Newman is a motivated and energetic deckhand with hands-on experience in both yacht operations and land-based property management. Having worked aboard a variety of motor and sailing yachts across Greece and South Africa, he has developed solid seamanship skills including line handling, anchoring, tender driving, watersports setup, deck maintenance, and guest support. His practical approach, strong work ethic, and ability to adapt quickly make him a valuable addition to any yacht crew. Khumo holds several respected maritime qualifications including RYA Day Skipper, RYA Yachtmaster Theory (Sail), Advanced Deckhand certification, ENG1 Medical, PDSD, SAMSA SRC Radio certification, and additional training in powerboat handling, radar operations, and jet ski/PWC use. Combined with his safety awareness and teamwork mentality, he brings confidence and professionalism to every onboard role. Known for his positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn, Khumo is passionate about building a long-term career within the yachting industry and progressing through dedication and experience. He enjoys working in team environments, takes pride in maintaining high standards onboard, and approaches every task with professionalism and enthusiasm. He speaks English fluently.
