Matt's Take
About the Bali 4.2
The Bali 4.2 is a modern, versatile catamaran that offers a balance of comfort and practicality, making it a strong choice for charter crews. Like other Bali models, it features the signature open-plan living area with a tilting “garage door” that connects the saloon and cockpit, creating a seamless, airy space for socializing and relaxing. One of the standout features of the Bali 4.2 is its flybridge, which is a rare addition for a catamaran in this size range. While not as large as those found on bigger models, it provides a comfortable lounging area and excellent visibility from the helm station.
The layout options include three or four cabins, with the owner’s version dedicating one hull to a private suite. The interior is modern and functional, with ample natural light and practical amenities to make longer charters comfortable. Sailing the Bali 4.2 is straightforward, with controls well-positioned at the helm for easy handling. While it’s not built for performance, it provides a stable and enjoyable cruising experience for crews prioritizing comfort and space. The Bali 4.2 is a great choice for those who want a contemporary catamaran with a touch of luxury, without stepping up to a larger model.
