Captain / Petros Lagouros

Nationality: Greek

Petros was born in 1989 and grew up in Greece, where his love for the sea and adventure took root early on. He pursued his maritime education at the Merchant Maritime Academy of Syros, graduating as a Captain Class A’. His career has since spanned a wide range of prestigious positions, including time with Golden Yachts as Master, Staff Captain, and Chief Officer aboard vessels such as the 95m O’Pari, 85m O’Ptasia, and 51m Vertigo. He has also served on commercial vessels and held a navigation post in the Hellenic Navy, further broadening his maritime expertise. Petros is known for his professionalism, calm demeanor, and strong leadership on board. He holds several certifications including SSO, Advanced Firefighting, Medical Care, and ECDIS, and is also a licensed sailing and speedboat skipper. In his free time, he enjoys wakeboarding, diving, playing classical guitar, and traveling. His extensive experience and steady command ensure a smooth and enjoyable charter experience for all guests.

Chief Officer / George Christopoulos

Nationality: Greek
Date of birth: 1990

George's avid interest in every activity related to the sea led him to a career in the maritime industry from an early age. His passion to meet people from different walks of life brought him to join the luxury yachting industry in 2018, commencing his career at sea as an apprentice officer onboard tanker vessels before working his way up from 2nd officer to captain onboard private & charter motor yachts. George is a calm, friendly individual with excellent communication and leadership skills he is always eager to help his clients and fellow crew members and is an invaluable asset to the team! He has various qualifications including proficiency in fast rescue boats, advanced firefighting, elementary first aid, survival craft, and rescue boats, ship security officer & awareness as well as having a speed operator license.

Chief Engineer / Spyridon Kouroutos

Nationality: Greek

Spyridon Kouroutos holds a Chief Engineer’s (A Class) license and has extensive experience in marine engineering across private yachts, cruise ships, passenger vessels, and tankers. He has joined M/Y Barents as Chief Engineer and brings strong expertise in engine room operations, Safety Management Systems (SMS), ISM Code compliance, and mechanical maintenance. Spyridon is a highly reliable and technically skilled engineer, known for leadership, problem-solving, and maintaining high operational standards.

2nd Engineer / Spyridon Gasparatos

Spyros commenced his career at sea in 2017 working as an apprentice with Seajets and then as an assistant engineer. His motivation for new challenges, emphasis on details, adaptability, and multitasking skills make him a great asset to the team! Spyros holds certificates in Tanker Safety basics, Ship security office, Proficiency «Ro-Ro Passenger Ship», Proficiency «Seafarer with Designated Security Duties» «Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting. Chef / Panagiotis Palatos

Nationality: Greek

Panagiotis is a graduate of both Greek and German Culinary Institutes. He has worked as a Chef and Executive Chef in several five-star hotels and luxurious restaurants in both countries before joining the yachting industry. He was also a professor of the cooking faculty Palmier, a Member of Greek Cook Olympic Team, a member of Eurotogether Greece, he presented a cooking section in a TV Show for 3 years and he holds a Second Pan at the Hellenic competition of cooking. Panagiotis specializes in Mediterranean & International cuisine. He also masters specific requests, such as Kosher meals. Panagiotis is very passionate about his cuisine, eager to tailor-make his guests’ menus and keen to present them with gastronomic extravagances or simple, heavenly tastes. He speaks English and German. He is 43 years old and married with two children. He joined Barents Sea crew in 2014 and Barents in 2021.

Chief Stewardess / Jenny Papadopoulou

Nationality: Greek

Jenny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Tourism and English commercial Correspondence. Prior to joining the yachting industry, she worked onboard cruise ships. She has come from the famous charter yacht Barents Sea and before that, she served onboard Alexandra 50m. Her hospitality and communication skills are second to none making all guests onboard feel at home. She has an eye for detail, and she maintains the highest levels of service at all times. Jenny speaks English, French, Italian, and basic German and Arabic. She loves travelling and reading.

2nd Stewardess / Maria Kritikou

Maria Kritikou holds a Hellenic Seaman’s Book, STCW certificate, WSET Level 2 in Wines, and Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2. She has worked on a range of private and charter yachts and has joined M/Y Barents as Second Stewardess. Maria is a professional and dedicated crew member with strong expertise in guest service, interior operations, and hospitality management. She is highly organised, adaptable, and brings a warm and attentive approach to all onboard duties.

3rd Stewardess / Aggeliki Petraki

Nationality: Greek

Aggeliki is Greek, born in 1986. She holds a degree in Agriculture, Food, and Environment and she has been working in hospitality since 2007. She offers excellent service to all guests onboard Barents, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable time. She has great communication skills and a positive attitude, always bringing a friendly smile. Aggeliki speaks English.

4th Stewardess / Maria Anthoulidou

Nationality: Greek

Experienced hospitality and yacht stewardess with a strong background in high-end customer service, interior operations, and guest care. Serves as 4th Stewardess onboard M/Y Barents, supporting the interior team in maintaining excellent presentation standards and smooth daily yacht operations. Responsible for assisting with housekeeping, laundry, linen management, and general interior upkeep, ensuring all guest and crew areas were kept to a high standard of cleanliness and readiness. Supported service duties including table setup, basic food & beverage service, and guest assistance during charters and private use. Worked closely with senior stewardesses and deck crew, contributing to efficient teamwork, turnaround operations, and a professional onboard environment. Known for reliability, discretion, attention to detail, and strong adaptability in demanding yacht conditions.

Bosun / Ioannis Lysikatos

Nationality: Greek
Date of birth: 1994

Ioannis holds a Seaman’s Book, Bosun license, and Powerboat Operator license. He has worked on various motor yachts and was onboard M/Y Barents from 2021 to 2024, and rejoined in 2026. He is highly familiar with the yacht and its operations. Lysikatos is a dedicated and hardworking bosun with extensive knowledge of deck operations, tender and chase boat handling, maintenance, and safety procedures. He has proven to be reliable and adaptable in all onboard tasks.

Deckhand / Mandy Nobleza

Nationality: Filipino

Mandy has been working in the yachting industry for the past 18 years in various deckhand positions. He is hardworking and very careful with the safety of the yacht. Mandy is a hardworking person, has a positive attitude, and is always happy to help in all departments with various tasks. He speaks English, Greek, and Filipino.

Deckhand / Grigoris Psarras

Nationality: Greek

Experienced deckhand currently serving onboard M/Y Barents, with a strong background in yacht operations, private speedboat handling, and guest support across both charter and private environments. Proven experience in deck duties including mooring, anchoring, line handling, wash-down, tender assistance, refit shipyard support, and general vessel maintenance, with additional responsibility in operating and supervising private craft such as Targa 35, Targa 37, Technohull 40ft, and a 46ft catamaran in Santorini. Previous yachting and maritime experience includes seasonal work with Viking River Cruises, as well as skipper and host-sailor roles in Mykonos and Santorini, complemented by a strong hospitality background in restaurants, hotels, and guest service positions. Combines solid seamanship with a service-oriented mindset, adaptability, and calm performance under pressure, with additional strengths in teamwork, watersports assistance, and high-standard guest interaction. Interests include watersports, boating, travel, and continuous development within the yachting industry.
