Our take: Sunmoon

On paper SUNMOON sleeps ten across five cabins, but she's offered as an eight-guest yacht — the fifth cabin only opens up on request. That's the detail worth knowing: book her for eight and you're spreading out on a brand-new 67-foot Fountaine Pajot Alegria with real room to disappear, plus a master suite that opens directly onto the foredeck. Up there sits the feature that sells her in person — a two-person Jacuzzi ringed by sun lounges on the bow, perfect for a sundowner or a late soak under the stars while the rest of the boat winds down.

A few things the spec sheet undersells. Her air conditioning runs off-grid on batteries, so you can sleep at anchor in cool, quiet cabins without a generator humming through the night — a small luxury experienced charterers notice immediately. The galley is the other standout: this is a Greek crew, and the chef cooks genuine fine-dining Mediterranean — crudo, tartares, proper desserts — not standard charter fare, while Captain Thomas brings 35,000 nautical miles and a long hospitality background to the operation. Brand-new in 2024 and already booked through back-to-back seasons — Greece each summer, the BVI and Leewards each winter — SUNMOON is a strong choice for a group of eight who want a current-generation catamaran with serious food and a quiet, comfortable boat to come home to each night.
