The Yacht

'Solaris' is a Motor Yacht, accommodating up to 16 guests, available for crewed charter with a home base in Baltra, Galápagos, Ecuador.

Solaris Description and Charter Summary Information

Solaris is a 36-meter first-class motor yacht carrying 16 guests in eleven ensuite cabins with a crew of ten. The unusual thing about her is the cabin mix: six Ocean View Staterooms plus five dedicated single cabins that carry no single supplement at all.

That matters more than it sounds. Solo travelers on almost every other yacht in the islands pay an 80–100% surcharge or get paired with a stranger. On Solaris, up to five people in your group can have their own cabin at the same per-person rate — which makes her the obvious pick for a multi-generational family, a group of friends where not everyone is a couple, or any charter with an odd headcount.

She runs fixed 4- and 6-night National Park routes with a naturalist guide, twice-daily landings and snorkeling, and kayaks aboard. Same buyout price as Treasure, so the choice between them is really balconies and catamaran stability versus cabin flexibility.

Our take: Solaris

Solaris solves a problem no other boat in the islands does: five dedicated single cabins with no single supplement. Everywhere else, a solo traveler pays an 80–100% surcharge or bunks with a stranger. If your group is a multi-generational family, a set of friends where not everyone is a couple, or just an odd headcount, that's the whole ballgame — up to five people get their own cabin at the same per-person rate. Eleven ensuite cabins, 16 guests, crew of ten, same buyout as Treasure.
