With a background as a Security Communications Specialist in the U.S. Army, Captain Michael Tews brings discipline and technical expertise to the yachting world. He began his maritime career as an engineer and dive master on a sportfishing vessel before naturally transitioning into the luxury motor yacht industry.

Over the years, Michael has been aboard many renowned charter yachts, including M/Y ALANDREA, M/Y SOVEREIGN, M/Y KALEEN, and M/Y NAMASTE, among others.

His extensive experience covers many of the world’s most sought after cruising regions, from the East and West Coasts of the United States to Alaska, Mexico, Central America, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean.

An avid fisherman, scuba diver and watersports enthusiast, Michael brings genuine passion and depth to every charter experience. With more than two decades on the water, he offers guests a rare level of expertise, guiding them to the best, and often most secluded, destinations and experiences.

Known for his positive, can-do attitude, Michael is dedicated to crafting unforgettable adventures for everyone who steps aboard.

Raised between England, Scotland, and Spain, Nicholas has spent his entire life connected to the sea. That early exposure fostered a natural passion for fishing, sailing, and ocean travel, which ultimately led him into a professional
career in yachting. He began crewing on sailing yachts at a young age, including multiple Atlantic crossings, building a strong foundation in seamanship and offshore operations.

With over 13 years of professional experience, Nicholas specializes in both sailing and motor yacht deliveries, as well as charter operations. His career has taken him through some of the world’s most respected cruising grounds, including the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the East Coast of the United States, and the coastal waters of Scotland and England.

Nicholas is known for his calm, reliable approach and deep respect for the ocean. He places a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and smooth vessel operations, ensuring every passage and charter is run efficiently and
professionally.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Nicholas brings versatility and clear communication to life on board, contributing to a seamless experience for guests, owners, and crew alike

Description:

Monja grew up in Northeast South Africa in a town called Nelspruit, on the border of the Kurger National Park. Her childhood circled around nature & wildlife, as she spent her winters enjoying safaris and summers on the Mozambican coast.

After grade school, Monja moved to the Western Cape of SA and attended the University of Stellenbosch for law and accounting. It was there where she developed a greater passion for the outdoors, arts and gastronomy. After successfully procuring her Bachelor's degree, she set her eyes on finding a career that suited her personality and aligned with her passions. The world of yachting had caught her eye.

Monja started yachting as a sous chef, learning under some of the best charter chefs in the industry. Throughout her many years cooking on yachts, Monja has developed a refined, artistic and fresh cooking style. She has taken various intensive culinary courses and has a true passion for Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. Monja's attention to detail and ability to use the freshest ingredients in all areas of the world, ensures each meal to be filled with flavor, delight, and appreciation. She previously cooked on yachts such as M/Y NAMASTE, M/Y VIVACE, M/Y SKYFALL, M/Y BIRDY and currently onboard M/Y KASHMIR. Her calm and collected persona make her an advantageous crew member.

Her interests and hobbies include hiking through scenic trails, getting creative with various arts and crafts projects, taking part in exciting adventure activities, and exploring local fare to experience new and unique flavors from different cultures and communities.

Hyacinth, Originally from the Philippines, she stands as the second child among three siblings, bringing a positive attitude, a delightful sense of humor, and the ability to harmonize with diverse personalities of various nationalities.

Hyacinth´s passion for embracing new experiences in different places resonates in her vibrant character. Having cruised the Eastern Mediterranean, Canada, Alaska, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands, she places the happiness of her guests at the forefront. Her goal is to curate a once-in-a-lifetime experience, ensuring families bond and create lasting memories.

Before embarking on her yachting journey in 2012, Hyacinth served as a financial educator, adding a unique perspective to her role. Hyacinth has been a valuable part of various yachts, including PLAN A, MAGIC, FOUR WISHES, and LIBERTY, before joining the crew of Motor Yacht Kashmir. When she´s not on board, you´ll find her engaging in charity work, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the yachting world.

Hyacinth´s hobbies include biking and exploring new destinations. As a devoted mother to her only son, a caring daughter to her elderly mother, and a sweet sister to her siblings, she radiates warmth and responsibility. Her fun and responsible demeanor also make her a cherished friend to everyone around her. Hyacinth lives by the motto, ´Don´t do unto others what you don´t want others done unto you,´ embodying a philosophy of mutual respect and kindness.

Meet Hugh Marshall, a seasoned Chief Engineer with 17 years of experience and an unlimited marine engineering license. Born and raised in Jamaica, the happiest island in the world and the famous reggae artist Bob Marley, Hugh is a humble and family-oriented individual who values hard work and persistence.

When he's not keeping ships running smoothly, Hugh enjoys farming, tinkering with fast cars, and understanding the intricacies of complex systems. A devoted father of two, Hugh cherishes time with his children and parents. He's also a dog lover, an avid fisherman, and a movie enthusiast who finds solace in serene environments.

With a lifelong passion for learning and exploration, Hugh's childhood dreams of becoming a NASA engineer or jet pilot still inspire him today. He approaches life with a positive attitude, a willingness to lend a helping hand, and a commitment to achieving his goals. Through his journey, Hugh has learned that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible.

He became a scuba instructor in Thailand, spending five unforgettable years teaching and exploring its vibrant underwater world. His travels eventually took him across the globe, leading him to Mexico during the COVID years, where he transitioned into life at sea aboard diving liveaboards and luxury yachts. He's built a career shaped by adventure, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the marine world.

For James, life is about connection, adventure, and wholeheartedly embracing every experience.

We cannot adequately express what a wonderful trip you have given us. The entire crew is an amazing combination of kind, funny, experts at all their jobs. Yan and Len took exceptional care of us day and night. Captain Dave, Brandon, Marios, and Hugh kept the boat immaculate and ferried us on all our trips. And - finding our phone in the marina water was totally above and beyond. Chef Jim wowed us at every meal. Thank you, thank you for everything!
