VISION Description and Charter Summary Information
Luxury sailing catamaran VISION is as comfortable as she is seaworthy. This Lagoon 57 is an ideal build for first time charter guests featuring unmatched stability and excellent speed under sail. The yacht has a spacious cockpit, sized for the entire charter party to be together. For sun and fun, huge trampolines on the bow let everyone enjoy an exciting ride over the water. For guests who want to hoist the sails and take a turn at the helm, the Captain is a patient instructor and VISION handles exceedingly well.
Step aboard VISION and be impressed with the great views, open social spaces, nautical blue and white furnishings, luxury linens and guest amenities. The cockpit is a favorite spot for al fresco dining, or cocktails and conversation in protective shade. Whether dining, drinking or chatting, the interior saloon with plush banquette seating offers deluxe comfort in an air-conditioned space.
VISION features spacious accommodations for six guests in three cabins. Two queen-bed cabins with under-bed storage and one forward cabin with twin bunk beds, the favorite of children but sized and outfitted for adult comfort. All cabins are en suite with electric toilet and separate shower. Cabins are equipped with air conditioning, fans and portholes for fully customizable temperature. Each cabin is equipped with a USB charger for phones and iPads.
VISION is designed for water sports fun. Aft on both hulls steps lead directly into the sea, which makes getting on and off the yacht a breeze. There is also a boarding ladder to starboard. VISION also carries snorkel gear, clear bottom kayaks, tube and stand-up paddle boards.
Sailing catamaran VISION has an ideal layout, is meticulously maintained and carries an excellent array of toys. VISION prefers and excels at "family style charters". CAPTAIN/CHEF CHARLY ZAHR
Charly grew up just outside of glamorous, vibrant, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His culture of music, playing the guitar, great food, fine wine, and entertaining friends, is part of what makes his charter style so special.
In his early 20s, Charly completed his studies in Industrial Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires. He left the dazzle of the capital and a successful career as a musician/singer with his band, “Charly Zahr & Co." He moved to Rio de la Plata, where once he gripped a yacht helm he did not want to let go. He said, “A good friend introduced me to this passion for yachting. It was as if I’d been born for this life, a dream come true! I came to the Virgin Islands on my own sailing yacht with the best partner, Carolina.” That was some 30 years ago. They have been sailing together ever since in all the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Los Roques. And some sailing in the Adriatic, the Mediterranean, Ionic Sea, Aeolian Islands, Tyrrhenian Sea, the Balearic Islands and all the Canary Islands.
Not only are Charly and Carolina both licensed Captains but they are also both chefs. Charly is the main chef, supported by Caro as the pastry and dessert chef, and guests delight in her cakes and sweet treats. Charly loves to BBQ on the rear deck and he also excels at preparing Argentinian dishes from recipes handed down through generations, like homemade Chimichurri. He also has a repertoire of European dishes to tempt your palate.
Captain Charly is an expert seaman and extremely knowledgeable about sailing throughout the Caribbean. He says it’s his favorite yachting destination. “Peaceful, crystal clear waters, steady breezes all year round, perfect temperatures, and amazing fresh vegetables and fish! And the most wonderful, local people to spend time with. Charter guests aboard VISION experience all this and more. Because, although Charly commands the ship, he also has many stories to tell and songs to sing. All you need do is ask him.

PASTRY CHEF / MATE /STEWARDESS CAROLINA RODRIGUEZ SOAJE
Caro and two younger siblings grew up in the beautiful bustle of Buenos Aires. During the summer, the family traded city life for country life on their ranch. Caro rode horses through a pastoral landscape, enjoying the animals and the beauty of nature. She was always surrounded by many friends, so it was little surprise when she pursued a degree in Public Relations at Universidad Argentina John F. Kennedy. However, when she fell in love, her plans changed.
Caro met Charly, and together they launched a career in yachting. The two became licensed captains in Argentina and sailed the world’s oceans. Caro continued taking courses to further her career as a yacht chef, including pastries and bread and sommelier. She had an exciting position as chef/hostess on a Farr 80’, exploring most of the European and Turkish coasts. She also worked on yachts as a pastry chef and first mate. Since 1999, she has owned a 62' classic yacht, and a Lagoon 57, operating long-term and day charters throughout the Caribbean, but mostly based in the BVI where she holds a Belonger Status
Her pastries, breads, and desserts are irresistible. She says, “Guests rave most about my 70% cocoa chocolate mousse, and my dulce de leche mousse, with ingredients we bring from Argentina!” Guests aboard VISION not only eat well but are also pampered. Caro is trained in Silver Service and knows how to be discreet for those guests who value privacy. However, she prefers an interactive charter. Charly and Carolina have a son Valentin, born October 14, 2008, who is a great sailor and deckhand, also playing instruments such as piano and saxophone. He will not be on board for charters unless it is a family charter and the guests invite him to join the charter, OR if the charter coincides with school vacations, such as Easter, Christmas, and New Year. Valentin can serve as the 3rd crew member, at the client's discretion. He's great with families and kids and helps out with snorkeling, sailing, and other chores around the boat.
Charly and crew regularly attend the annual Yacht Shows in the Caribbean and have won several awards!

What a beautiful charter we had this week Jenny, Bob & James!
Had a fantastic time starting in Tortola and sailing to Norman Island. Having a blast jumping the Willy T with Valentin as a great tour guide. We enjoyed all the best food onboard VISION ! We were very well fed! And "watered"! Another adventure to Peter Island for snorkeling and then to Copper for lunch. Val was brave enough to saved as the best mooring close to shore! Thank you to Charlie, Carolina and Valentin for welcoming us onboard and taking such good care of us! Your warmth and hospitality are top notch! Thank you for a beautiful trip. The S.

What a spectacular adventure! I first came to BVI to stay on a boat 30 years ago and to came back this week with my girls and sail with you both has been magical. It was an exciting adventure navigating the winds, visiting Norman and Cooper Island. We loved finding a lobster in the waters at Norman and Starfish and stingrays at Cooper. Your roti, your chicken salad and the seafood dish were DELICIOUS!
Carolina, I will always remember your amazing desserts, specially the chocolate chip cookies with whipped cream, dulce de leche and hot chocolate.
It was a perfect start for our trip. Thank you both for taking such good care of us and letting us leave our stuff all over the cabins!

Ed and I dreamt & planned for this sailing adventure for a LONG time! I must say it was more amazing than we could have ever imagined! Everything was a new experience for us, as the days went on our "sea legs" improved (LOL) :) OUR sleep NEVER better!
The food was incredible & delicious but more than that, spending time with the three of you and learning how to "live" on a sailboat, & most importantly learning about how you live your lives—was such a delight!!!

My Friends, Where do I start. This adventure started 2 years ago. We had such a great time on the first charter that we could not pass it up again. Spending time with great friends again. With the boys having such a great relationship, to playing 'Spin the disc' on Spotify playing good music and singing with the best of friends. There is no part of this journey that I could pin point as my favorite part. There are too many favorites to list. Charly, Carolina + Val : I cannot overstate how much I have enjoyed getting to know you guys more & more with each passing day. I do hope our friendships will last for years to come & we have many more adventures together as families... then as adults only while the boys are away @ college! So many memories this time around, but a highlight was jumping back into the water after hearing Val yell 'Shark' and finally finding it and swimming with it! We will never forget celebrating New Years & bringing in 2025 with you at the amazing Rosewood Hotel Party as well as celebrating Carolina’s 50th Birthday. So many celebrations in one week!! I want to let you know that you have raised an amazing son! Val was wonderful to Bryce (11 yrs old) & they had the best time together. Val was the best tour guide around the islands. March 2024 Honeymoon!
WE CAN'T THINK OF A MORE SPECIAL AND UNIQUE WAY TO SPEND OUR HONEYMOON! We had a fantastic three days on board, seeing Norman Island, Cooper Island, and sailing by many others. Snorkeling off of Cooper Island was amazing, and we were lucky enough to see a stingray! The food and drinks were all delicious, and Charly and Carolina’s hospitality was perfect. An absolutely fantastic trip filled with memories that we will have forever!

This morning we are ending a seven day experience with our 2 sons, age 20 and 17, with Charly and Crew as our exceptional hosts. This is our first trip to BVI. What an amazing journey! Each Island was uniquely beautiful. Charlie and Crew knew all the best places to visit. I think our entire family loved Anegada the most, probably because was so different from the others.
We have been completely spoiled with amazing food and excellent service. We enjoyed hearing stories about their travels and learning about the Islands.
This maybe the last trip we take with just the four of us, but I hope to return one day to build on the wonderful memories created during this trip.

The yacht was clean and ready to go upon our arrival and the crew lived up to our expectations.
The food and drinks were fantastic! Everything was delicious. Pasta, Shrimp, Homemade bread, meats and cheeses, Argentinian BBQ, Fantastic sandwiches with fresh lettuce and tomato. Breakfast was awesome with fresh yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and hash browns.
We sat down with Charly as we got underway on day one and planned out our trip. Each day we got to pick what we would do. Everything was pretty easy and we got along great with the captain and first mate. Relaxed itinerary and great drinks. Hit 8 different islands over the week which is exactly what we wanted to do.
On a scale using 1-10: We rate the captain: 10. The cook: 10.
Trip of a lifetime and we will definitely do it again. We would charter this yacht again, 100%!

One of the great joys in life is meeting people from different parts of the world living different lives from your own – it’s on of the things that attracted us to sign on for a trip with Charly and Carolina. Your knowledge and experience was on full display and we enjoyed both sharing an appreciation for the beauty of the BVIs and the lovely conversations. While we were disappointed that Carolina could not make the trip, her baking was on full display, and we really enjoyed getting to talk to her and Valentine over dinner one night at Laverick Bay. Another crew member was an outstanding addition to your team and really added a lot to the snorkeling and diving while on the trip. We enjoyed learning about his travels and experiences throughout the world!

The splendour and beauty of the BVI was perfectly matched with the kindness, expertise and friendship of Captain Charlie and Carolina. From the time we boarded VISION to the time we departed we were treated like royalty! Captain Charlie and Carolina knowledge of the BVI was superb and made our trip a grand experience. From Anegada to Norman Island, From Virgin Gorda to Peter Island the scenery was breathtaking. The combination of our crew encompassed as Captain, Chef, Mechanic and Rock Band! We had a fabulous HONEYMOON; Theresa and I are very fortunate. We hope to use the information and skills we learned to return in the future and sail, once more, with Charlie and Carolina. Day 1 to Day 8 was top of the line hospitality, guidance, relaxation and fun!! Love the excellent food, drinks and experiences! Snorkeling so see the beautiful coral and fish was amazing (even with all the jellies!). We loved sharing a short tour with Bob and learning about Biras Creek of the past. We had an amazing time! The boat was super well kept, the crew was amazing, not only warm and professional but always worried to make sure we were going to the best places we could with the time we had and the fact that T had her green card right before our trip made things much better as we could sail in the BVI and go to amazing places.
The food was great and they were always making sure that everyone was eating something they liked, even if that meant cooking different options.
We had a great time with Charlie singing together with our daughters M and C always warm and helpful with the girls, especially when T was feeling nauseous as we had a storm and a few strong showers and winds!!
Thank you so, so much for taking care of everything for us and for your advice and negotiations!
We are already dreaming about our next charter!! 😉

How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable? Top Notch. Carolina and Captain Charlie were helpful and courteous. Definitely made long term friends!
Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets? While I am sure that our strange palates caused some adjustment, the food was excellent and met/exceeded our expectations
How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable? Was the cockpit comfortable? Was there enough shade? The Catamaran was perfect. there was plenty of shade when needed, the cockpit was large and very comfortable, and the Cat was always clean, not sure when they cleaned but miraculously it always was. Cabins were the perfect size – comfortable to serve the purpose and compact enough to encourage being up on top enjoying the crew and scenery

Charley and Carolina were AMAZING! They cleaned daily, made every accommodation we requested and were very pleasing to be around for a full week. Everything was fantastic. The cabins were clean, beds were comfy and plenty of common space to hang out with the others. We hit up a different island or beach setting everyday. It was a perfect mix of being on the water and stopping for beach bars. Our group wasn't the most active but we were made aware of everything that was available, which more than suited our needs.
The food and drinks were FIVE STAR! I was continually amazed at how they were able to prepare such quality meals, from scratch and in such a small space. The service was GREAT!
It was a lifetime experience that none of us will ever forget.

Lunch was amazing! You opened my palate to things I had never tried before, like the Argentinian sangria, the empanada, and the mussels. Everything was incredibly delicious. And the chocolate mousse at the end was simply to die for!
I also want to thank you just for being there. I firmly believe that the best thing the yachting community can do to bring back the BVI is to charter! The vendors are ready, the crews are ready; the water is beautifully blue and teeming with marine life, and the land is becoming greener as every day passes. What an incredible and restful experience with you three on the yacht. We truly were treated like family. We loved our tour guide Valentin and playing cards and snorkeling with him. The meals were 6 Star Plus in every way, including the stunning Mahi-Mahi and the fire Grill lobster. We got to go over 7 knots with 3 sails up, got to feed tarpons in Billionaire’s Bay and eat an Argentine meat-fest after the seagulls almost stole our food.
We cannot wait to return and repeat the experience!

Sorry it took so long but we have been on the road since we returned from the charter. We had an incredible time in the islands. Charly and Carolina were fantastic and the This yacht was awesome, several people complemented Debbie and I on the beauty of the boat. I was awed by Anagada and the Baths and will have to return someday for a longer stay. Our Crew welcomed us like family and never lost patience with our constant stream questions. Our vacation was an amazing experience! All five of us had a fabulous time!!! We would wholeheartedly recommend This yacht for anyone contemplating this type of vacation.
Here's some feedback on a few items:
yacht- The yacht was gorgeous and was stocked with everything we could have needed! Charly and Carolina are very particular about their yacht, and therefore it is is great shape with no problems! The sleeping arrangements were comfy (although our middle daughter Hannah did bang her head on to the upper berth several times before she learned not to!).
crew- Charly and Carolina were gracious, accommodating, fun-loving, and dedicated hosts. They worked hard to make sure our vacation was what we wanted. They understood that our family liked to have adventures and stay active, so in addition to sailing, they made sure we went swimming, snorkeling, hiking or exploring every day. They took us to the most amazing beaches and bars and always had great recommendations for drinks and snacks. They were very personable and really took the time to get to know each one of us. They excelled at time management, and gave us just the right amount of time to do things and get places without feeling rushed (but we packed an incredible amount into our 7 days with them). They also made the trip a lot of fun - Charly with music, dancing, camp games while sailing, and an infectious attitude for fun; and Carolina as our tour guide on hikes and snorkel excursions. Both Charly and Carolina made the trip educational, answering all our questions about the islands, fish and animals, sailing, etc.
food- the meals were fabulous!!! very delicious!! Charly is a fantastic chef. We always had more than enough to eat and drink. We enjoyed trying things we had never tried before (even the kids) - mussels marinara, Russian salad, melon with prosciutto, Argentinian barbecue, etc. Some American classics (burgers, hot dogs, brownies with ice cream) also hit the spot at just the right time.
Island connections - an unexpected (but not surprising) benefit was the help that Charly provided for arranging for car rentals, ferries, taxis, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of Charly's connections to utilize the pool, hot tub, slide and trampoline at Scrub Island Resort and hiking trails and beach at Biras Creek. We didn't know enough about the area to decide our own itinerary in advance, but Charly and Carolina quickly learned what we liked to see and do and their recommendations were always spot on. Each day seemed to be an adventure that topped the previous day. We were even treated to a fireworks show on Peter Island during our last night on the boat!
Again, our week aboard the This yacht with Charly and Carolina was everything we hoped for and then some. It was a trip of a lifetime. Thank you for your role in hooking us up with them!

What an incredible and restful experience with you three on the yacht. We truly were treated like family. We loved our tour guide Valentin and playing cards and snorkeling with him. The meals were 6 Star Plus in every way, including the stunning Mahi-Mahi and the fire Grill lobster. We got to go over 7 knots with 3 sails up, got to feed tarpons in Billionaire’s Bay and eat an Argentine meat-fest after the seagulls almost stole our food.
We cannot wait to return and repeat the experience!

Sorry it took so long but we have been on the road since we returned from the charter. We had an incredible time in the islands. Charly and Carolina were fantastic and the This yacht was awesome, several people complemented Debbie and I on the beauty of the boat. I was awed by Anagada and the Baths and will have to return someday for a longer stay. Our Crew welcomed us like family and never lost patience with our constant stream questions. The last word: The best food, drinks and friendly service anyone could imagine!

Our vacation was an amazing experience! All five of us had a fabulous time!!! We would wholeheartedly recommend This yacht for anyone contemplating this type of vacation.
Here's some feedback on a few items:
yacht- The yacht was gorgeous and was stocked with everything we could have needed! Charly and Carolina are very particular about their yacht, and therefore it is is great shape with no problems! The sleeping arrangements were comfy (although our middle daughter Hannah did bang her head on to the upper berth several times before she learned not to!).
crew- Charly and Carolina were gracious, accommodating, fun-loving, and dedicated hosts. They worked hard to make sure our vacation was what we wanted. They understood that our family liked to have adventures and stay active, so in addition to sailing, they made sure we went swimming, snorkeling, hiking or exploring every day. They took us to the most amazing beaches and bars and always had great recommendations for drinks and snacks. They were very personable and really took the time to get to know each one of us. They excelled at time management, and gave us just the right amount of time to do things and get places without feeling rushed (but we packed an incredible amount into our 7 days with them). They also made the trip a lot of fun - Charly with music, dancing, camp games while sailing, and an infectious attitude for fun; and Carolina as our tour guide on hikes and snorkel excursions. Both Charly and Carolina made the trip educational, answering all our questions about the islands, fish and animals, sailing, etc.
food- the meals were fabulous!!! very delicious!! Charly is a fantastic chef. We always had more than enough to eat and drink. We enjoyed trying things we had never tried before (even the kids) - mussels marinara, Russian salad, melon with prosciutto, Argentinian barbecue, etc. Some American classics (burgers, hot dogs, brownies with ice cream) also hit the spot at just the right time.
Island connections - an unexpected (but not surprising) benefit was the help that Charly provided for arranging for car rentals, ferries, taxis, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of Charly's connections to utilize the pool, hot tub, slide and trampoline at Scrub Island Resort and hiking trails and beach at Biras Creek. We didn't know enough about the area to decide our own itinerary in advance, but Charly and Carolina quickly learned what we liked to see and do and their recommendations were always spot on. Each day seemed to be an adventure that topped the previous day. We were even treated to a fireworks show on Peter Island during our last night on the boat!
Again, our week aboard the This yacht with Charly and Carolina was everything we hoped for and then some. It was a trip of a lifetime. Thank you for your role in hooking us up with them!

d a great day trip with Captain Charlie and his charming First Mate Carolina!!! And of course Second Mate Val made the trip even more special! Vance, our 8 year old son enjoyed a lot playing and learning from Valentin, and hopefully they will remain friends. We loved the great food and hospitality!

What a wonderful experience with Charly and Carolina. The best hosts ever!!! We felt like Queen and King!! The dinners, lunches, breakfast so deliciously prepared despite all Marta's allergies! So, Charly is not only a great Captain,but also a superb chef! Carolina, the sweetest and warmest lady always taking great care of you with a fantastic smile! So, an amazing week with a bit of magic...we felt we were friends we know them for ever!

Anegada was a wonderful Island! We loved sailing there. Beautiful trip, full of surprises! The Champagne for Valentine's Day was a real treat! The food Captain Charly cooked for us was simple amazing. Charly's Argentinian Grill and Carolina's Apple Cake were our highlights! We couldn't have ask for better weather or Harbors to sleep in. The snorkeling, sun, swimming ad location were perfection! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We had a wonderful sail away with you all! It was so special to have an intimate group of friends and family together. This made the vacation much more fun and relaxed for us two. our favorite experiences were the snorkeling, the Gourmet Meals, the great stories, lot's of laughter, tales of our travels, Captain Ron, and all the wonderful care and attention. We have been to the BVI's many times but Crystal Clear was the most beautiful boat ever! And their salads were the best ever, too!!

8th November 2016 – A Perfect Wedding!!
15 minutes Silvana changes to a perfect maid of honor dress, with daisies. Captain/Father Franco in his yellow pants and Kelly-green shirt, and my wonderful husband and myself share vows to protect our love and marriage through the eyes of God and nature for the rest of our “time”. It was not only perfect in every way, it was fun & romantic & energizing!
