Mucho Gusto, the newest model from Horizon, is the ultimate in luxury yachting. Launched in February 2019, she is the only 65-foot Horizon Power Cat available for charters.

Guests are pampered from the moment they step aboard, with a choice of three exquisitely appointed suites: an on-deck California king Primary suite, a VIP king suite, and a twin berth-or-king cabin, all with en-suite bathrooms.

The main deck features a gracious aft deck and dining area, two swim platforms with a stainless outdoor shower, and a high-low platform.

The flybridge is a true oasis, with a fully air-conditioned helm station, wet bar, and alfresco dining area. Guests can also relax on the exterior loungers on the broad sundeck, while the chef cooks up a feast in the covered BBQ area. A day head on the flybridge ensures that guests are always comfortable.

On the bow, guests will find recently updated sun cushions for six, perfect for enjoying the sun and sea breeze while underway.

Hi — We’re Mario & Gi!

Our story began in Pretoria, South Africa, in a hospitality school classroom. As part of an icebreaker, everyone was asked to toss their shoes into a pile and pick one at random to find their partner. By chance — or maybe fate — I (Gi) pulled out Mario’s shoe, and we’ve been a team ever since.

Mario was born and raised in South Africa and has always been a people person with a knack for problem-solving. After studying hospitality management, he trained across luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants, and even South Africa’s iconic Blue Train. His love for the ocean eventually drew him to yachting, where he earned his Yachtmaster certification and discovered his passion for life at sea. Calm, capable, and endlessly resourceful, Mario keeps Mucho Gusto running seamlessly — whether he’s at the helm, behind the bar crafting his signature “cocktail of the day,” or fixing something before anyone else even knows it’s broken. He’s also a certified Dive Master, trained electrician, barista, and mixologist — and when he’s not on the water, you’ll usually find him restoring classic cars.

I (Gi) grew up in Mozambique, surrounded by tropical beaches, fresh seafood, and the Portuguese-inspired flavours that have shaped my cooking. By sixteen, I was already guiding safari guests and sharing my love of nature and wildlife — hospitality came naturally. I went on to earn a three-year diploma in Professional Cookery, specializing in dietary requirements and personalized menus. Food, for me, is about joy and connection, and I love creating dishes that make people feel both nourished and delighted. Guests often tell me it’s my laugh that fills the boat as much as the aroma from the galley — and that’s the best compliment I could ask for.

Together, we’re passionate about creating charters that feel effortless and personal — where guests can completely relax knowing every detail is taken care of. Whether it’s Mario mixing sundowners on the flybridge, me serving up something fresh from the galley, or the two of us sharing stories over sunset, we love making every trip aboard Mucho Gusto one to remember.

We’ve been home a week and are still marveling at what an amazing time we had.
Thank you for your expertise and making the process so easy. We’ve never done anyone this before. Your support made it so easy and worry free.

First of all the boat is amazing! Beautiful, spotless, so comfortable. Interior decor sooo lovely. I appreciate all the cohesive colours, patterns and fabrics! The bed was so comfortable and linen’s and towels, luxurious! Provided toiletries very nice!

Mario is amazing! Such a knowledgeable, thoughtful hard working young man. He provided us with so many options of activities in a day. Basically made our dreams come true. To understand the planning to get to snorkeling in the thunder ball grotto, the lazy river, is mind boggling for us. The beach set up was beyond our expectations. His confidence, knowledge and kind calm delivery put us all at ease and we never felt we were pressured to rush. He physically helped us in and out of the tender (which I’m sure is not easy) but he did it in a way that we didn’t feel dumb .
His cocktails were amazing and made with such care and never at any time was there not a cold beer on hand!!
Gi, is an absolute darling. We don’t know how she does all she does in a day! The food she prepares is sooo delicious the presentation amazing !! The table settings soo pretty . We tried new things and enjoyed everything . Her bubbly personality & sense of humour is next level. We loved that she took pictures, I started calling her the paparazzi! We don’t know how she prepared breakfast, cleaned & made up our rooms, did laundry, then on to the next meal without notice. Amazing!!
By the end of the week we felt like they were our kids and we all agreed we would be so proud of how hard they work and with such pride and passion.

We hope to have the chance to have another Mucho Gusto adventure with Mario & Gi next year .
