The crew kept our cabins spotless and prepared.
Our beds were made and our bathrooms cleaned every morning while we ate breakfast. Main
saloon was vacuumed and mopped every evening after dinner.
Comment on the congeniality of your Captain and crew: Our crew was very friendly from our first FaceTime meeting before we traveled to Tortola to our final drop-off. Captain Conner, Chef Ada and Nicole were so friendly. They all doted on our 3-year-old grandson and Silas (our grandson) nicknamed the Captain, “Silly Conner”.
Comment on the service of your Captain and crew:
The service was wonderful the entire week. It is not easy serving 11 people ages 3 to 70, 2 picky eaters; the captain and crew made it seem
effortless. This is our third charter we have worked with you to secure. All our crews have been great; this crew is our favorite so far. Here are just a couple of examples. I am an early riser in the morning, typically 4:30 am to 5 am. Nicole got up every morning at 5 am to make me coffee.
When I commented that I would be happy to push the button on the coffee maker and pour my
own cup, Nicole would have none of that. It was served to me graciously. They were willing to
change-up our pick-up and drop-off locations because our accommodations for the day before
and day after the cruise was on the west end of Tortola.
Comment on the fun aspect of your Captain and crew:
They were the best! Wake boarding,
tubing, paddleboards, floating toys. They even had a big floating ring that worked like a child
swimming pool for our 3-year-old. Capt. Conner and Ada arranged our scuba diving with DIVE
BVI which is a great dive operation in the BVIs with locations on Virgin Gorda and Scrub Island.
They even played games with Silas and with the adults after Silas went to bed. Conner gave us abriefing every morning after breakfast using a map which was given to us at the end of the
charter. Conner quizzed us on what he had shared with us throughout the charter, where we
anchored on previous days, tidbits he had shared with us on the history of the islands – it was
very fun.
Comment on the expertise of your Captain and crew:
Our crew was very professional and promoted safety through our cruise. Moorings and anchoring setup were accomplished with expertise. Conner did a mechanical check on the boat systems each morning.
Comment on the quality of your meals:
All our meals were excellently prepared, and the quality was very high. We were not an easy group with one vegetarian, 2 adult picky eaters and a 3-year-old. Chef Ada rose to each meal. Filet mignon, salmon, sea bass, New York Strip, fresh sourdough bread, wonderful desserts and a birthday cake for Silas and me, both our birthdays were in May. Breakfasts were typically yogurt, eggs, fruit by our request.
Comment on the presentation of your meals:
Beautifully presented with a completely different theme each night. Our birthday dinner and our final “pirate night” dinner were the favorites of Silas.

We were spoiled rotten by the crew of Sail Away and would love to charter with that crew again.
For my friends, this opened their eyes to a new world. We had the best time, not a single complaint! The interior was clean, and I was impressed with how she showed being 12 years old.
Connor is a fantastic captain, calm, funny, and we loved his morning briefings. Truly a highlight for us every day.
Ada is an excellent chef, and my friends were blown away with every meal. We loved her portion size and that we didn’t feel like we were weighed down by food.
Even though Nicole is in her first season, it didn’t show. She would get us things before we had to ask, a true skill, and very hard worker.
Happy to be a reference this program/crew any day. Thanks again for assisting me on this trip of a lifetime.

If I could rate more than 5-stars on this review, I would.
My family and I had an amazing time during our charter, and it is all thanks to the crew and the wonderful, positive vibe they brought. They created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that really made us feel well taken care of for the entire time we were on the boat. We laughed a ton and the crew was just as fun-loving as we were. Their anticipation for our needs was impressive; they totally surprised us with the activities and themes for dinner!
Additionally, the food was its own 5-star rating! The creativity and attention paid to each dish was truly met. We never ate the same meal twice, and our chef was able to create unique dishes that I would expect to order at a restaurant.
Lastly, the overall booking experience was seamless, and our booking agent was incredibly patient with us and the changes/ questions we kept tossing their way. They provided honest feedback on the concerns presented, and it is obvious as to why they are such professionals.
I honestly cannot say it enough – book SAIL AWAY with Connor, Ada and Nicole for your next charter experience! You will not regret it!

One In A Million Experience!
I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful of a time we all had on the Sail Away with Captain Connor, Chef Ada and Stewardess/Bartender/Jack-of-all-trades Nicole!
Each and every detail - from itinerary, meal program, drinks, cleanliness and anticipation of our every need - was perfect. We had so much fun with them. More than a crew they felt like our friends! The way they took care of us was seamless, it felt like they were reading our minds.
What stood out especially to me was the birthday party they held for my friend and I on the last night. We felt so special and celebrated and couldn’t imagine a better way to start off this next year of life! And THE CAKE!!!! Best I’ve ever had. Nicole makes a mean martini too, better than the ones I’ve had in NYC.

Our vacation was truly a five-star experience from start to finish. The perfect mix of fun and relaxing, with a crew that made the entire trip unforgettable.
Captain Connor was extremely passionate and knowledgeable— our itinerary was perfect. With him steering the ship (quite literally), the group was able to fully relax and just enjoy each moment together.
Nicole was nothing short of incredible. She made amazing drinks and was always so attentive, making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. She also added thoughtful touches along the way that made the trip feel really special. We joked that she was reading our minds as days went on and she anticipated our needs- she’s just that good.
Ada’s cooking was outstanding. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and something we genuinely looked forward to each day. It’s hard to believe the level of food she was able to create on a boat—it was that good. The fruit platters and baked goods were next level.
Overall, the team went above and beyond in every way. They created such a welcoming, easygoing atmosphere while still delivering an exceptional experience. It was truly a dream vacation!!

Truly exceptional on all fronts. Clean, extremely comfortable. plenty of room to relax.
How would you describe your crew? Were they courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable? Accompanied you on your activities/land excursions? Wore uniforms and acted professionally?
All of the above, yes. The captain and crew were truly amazing. We owned a Lagoon 450 ourselves, and my husband has a master's license sailing. He was very impressed with our captain Connor's experience and expertise - quite an accomplishment at a young age. And Ada, our chef, truly made the best food we have ever tasted. Every single meal was outstanding. And Nicole, our stew, was fantastic - helpful in every way. All three were as close to perfect as you can get.
Was the food great and well presented? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your crew pay attention to your preference sheets?
Yes! The food was truly gourmet fare, and they responded to every preference we mentioned. We were blown away!
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your charter?
It was just right. They had to meet a wide range of preferences, from ages 2 to 75, some wanting bars and action, others wanting peaceful time in nature. They somehow did it all, which was no small feat!
Additional comments about the yacht and the crew?
This crew was specifically recommended by our friends who did a similar trip with Connor and Ada. I wasn't sure they could live up to all the wonderful things our friends had said, but they went above and beyond it. I'm sure you guys know what an asset this particular crew is to your business - they are fantastic, hard working, friendly, and talented at what they do.

Attentive, Kind and Accommodating
Captain Connor, Chef Ada and Nicole on the Sail Away are the most attentive, kind and accommodating crew.
The itinerary was flexible and fun, the food was high class, the boat was clean and our every need was met.
The crew worked together well and seemed to have a good level of camaraderie, which makes the vibe easy and relaxed. I have some dietary restrictions and they were easily met by Ada.
Connor is knowledgeable about the area and Nicole sets the scene and makes the drinks (among other things). This was my first catamaran charter and I will be spoiled by this experience

Simply amazing. The crew was polite and courteous. They seemed to read our minds with what we wanted or needed next for drinks, snacks, activities, etc. The food was 5-star restaurant level stuff and I still can't figure out how Ada prepared the meals we ate onboard. They weren't just delicious, they were works of art. They took us to the best possible locations in the BVIs and we had the best vacating ever!

They're The Best!
We had an amazing week with the crew of Sail Away. The crew was so personable we felt as though we were best friends by the end of our week.
Connor kept us informed of where we were and where we were going through fun daily briefings. His knowledge of the BVI’s was incredible and he was always ready to share that knowledge with us.
Ada was a fantastic cook as every meal was five star quality. Loved the way she gave a short description of each meal prior to us eating them.
Lastly Nicole kept us laughing all week with her fun, witty personality. We loved the drinks she made for us all week.

We had the most incredible 6-day sailing trip through the BVIs! Captain Connor, Chef Ada, and Crew Member Nicole were absolutely exceptional. They were fun, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect — from navigating the islands to accommodating food allergies with care. Ada’s meals were amazing, and the catamaran was kept spotless the entire time.
Our itinerary was fantastic: Tortola, Peter Island, The Indians, Norman Island, Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Spit, Guana Island, Marina Cay, Anegada, and Virgin Gorda. We snorkeled beautiful reefs, visited iconic beach bars, explored stunning beaches, and enjoyed unforgettable sunsets every night.

The most amazing trip that we’ve ever been on. Connor and Ada were a perfect fit for our crazy party of people. Showed us all the spots we asked to see and a lot more that we didn’t know about. Capt Connor and Ada are amazing. They made us feel right at home. Ada is a remarkable chef, everything was Michelin star worthy and “Nick and kids” approved. Conner introduced us to some amazing locations around the BVIs. We got so lucky to have found them and hope to cross their paths again.
Most Amazing Charter!
We just returned from the most AMAZING charter! Captain Connor and Chef Ada went above and beyond each and every day to make sure we had the best time!! They listened to what we wanted to do and what kind of food we liked and they delivered! We were excited each morning to see what the day would bring. It always started off with a delicious breakfast from Ada and our chart “lesson”, lol, from Connor! We enjoyed every place they took us to as well as Capt. Connor’s drink of the day! I could go on and on because it really was that WONDERFUL! We really feel like we have new lifetime friends with Connor and Ada and we hope to return someday!!!

It was AMAZING. We ALL had a total blast. Heiko, Rebecca, and Maia were simply the best.
Maia’s food was great, and she really was the perfect chef for us. Lots of seafood and veggies. All delicious! Plus, Maia is adorable and always cheerful.
Heiko is a superlative captain - so steady and uber-responsible. He also was a great tour guide in general. His love for snorkeling and everything in the sea was contagious, and he took us to many out of the way snorkeling spots. I think my youngest grandson (10) wants to be just like Heiko when he grows up. 😂. Heiko really planned the perfect itinerary for our family. I feel like the activities, sailing, etc. were perfectly paced for all.
Rebecca is an amazing woman. Just so terrific, kind, and interesting. She took such good care of us every single day. Both Heiko and she always made sure Ed (89) felt safe, particularly getting on and off the dinghy.
We kayaked, snorkeled, paddle-boarded, tubed, and in general spent a ton of time in the water.
The boat was very comfortable, including the beds. The weather was terrific. The food was delicious. The crew was A+. The trip exceeded my expectations, and they were very high to begin with. It was a great family celebration, and we will always remember it as a very special and fun adventure. Though Ed didn’t do the water activities, he also really loved the trip.

We had the a great experience on a catamaran charter with Heiko and Rebecca! We had a slight "hiccup" at the start but from the moment we boarded, they made us feel right at home with their warmth and professionalism.
The catamaran itself was comfortable, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a week of luxury on the water.
Heiko’s expertise in sailing was evident, and we felt completely safe and comfortable under his guidance.
Rebecca was an outstanding host, making sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience.
The scenery was breathtaking, and we had the chance to explore hidden coves, swim in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy delicious meals Maia prepared for us every day. Their attention to detail, knowledge of the area, and overall hospitality made this charter a five-star experience.

We learned there's a big difference between a 50 ft Cat and a 60 ft like Sail Away, we are spoiled now! We recently spent 10 days aboard Sail Away with Colleen and Peter Lauber. The experience from beginning to end was seamless and transporting. First, our charter broker arranged the charter and facilitated travel plans and navigating the BVI Covid restrictions/requirements. That was a great help! The BVI are VERY Covid safe by the way. Once you do the required paperwork and testing it is fabulous to be here. So don’t let that stop you from coming!!
We met Colleen and Peter at the Cay, a short ride from the airport, and off we went. We had 4 days of on-boat quarantine and, really, who could complain about beautiful bays, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking etc?! After a day 4 test and subsequent test result we hit land for our first on shore activities.
Colleen and Peter, our hosts on Sail Away, were EXCELLENT in every way. They are both highly experienced sailors and know every corner of (and almost everyone in) the BVI. They took incredible care of us from charting our trip, arranging activities, and preparing delicious meals. Colleen clearly did a ton of preparation to be able to prepare gourmet dishes with ease for a group that also included gluten free vegans. And they were funny, fun, and overall great to get to know.
Oh and Sail Away is gorgeous. No need for me to say more - JUST GET HERE.

Just returned home from a fabulous family 7 day vacation aboard Vacoa. Our family consisted of 9 people ages 13, 14, 17, 18, 25, 27, 50, 59. Fun for everyone from the water activities, destinations, cocktails and the food, we could not have been happier! This is the second time that we vacationed on the Vacoa with friends and we had another fabulous week with great weather in the BVI! The crew kept us busy with multiple destinations and activities daily; we loved Oil Nut Bay, Scrub Island, Bitter End and the remote bays where everyone had a blast with multiple water activities! Captain Jason did an unbelievable job keeping us very active while Chef Will was back in the kitchen preparing fantastic breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners! Lucy, the second mate, was a joy to be with, she made delicious tropical drinks, cleaned up after us and kept us entertained! A great time was had by all!

We chartered Vacoa in the BVI in January of 2017 and enjoyed every minute of it. The boat is a 620 Lagoon (our second trip on the same model) and I would not charter in the BVI on any other model of boat. The fact that the top deck can accommodate all 10 guests beats any other boat in its class.
The boat is in great condition and the salon and state rooms are well appointed.
Jason and Team did a wonderful job and the food blew away our expectations (which were high from our previous trip on another boat). I'd recommend getting off the boat for cocktails here and there but eating on board as none of the island restaurants can match the quality and presentation of the food.
They had plenty of sports equipment on board -- everything from water skis to wakeboard, to kayaks, to paddle boards, etc.... Full service boat with fantastic crew -- perfect match.

The crew was amazing and Christine was just incredible. We ate like kings all week. Claire and Xavier were so nice and wonderful. The vacation was amazing! We loved every minute of it....the best vacation ever.

Charter 17th to 24th of April 2016, Tortola-Tortola
This charter was by far the best I have been on to date...maybe it was the yacht? Maybe it was the crew? Both were amazing and better than expected. The yacht's condition was impeccable, the accommodations definitely met with our expectations, perhaps even better. We did not fully appreciate the upper deck of the yacht; I think we hung out there most of the time. We also did not realize we had a fourth crew member which was terrific! The crew was phenomenal. Xavier and Claire were so professional and accommodating to all of your wishes. Christine our chef was 5 star!! Every meal was delicious and special - what she was able to accomplish with such limited provisions was truly amazing. The final dinner our last night was a special treat - surprise Pirate Party!! Maxim was our 4th crew member and such a delight. He really took care of all of us...day or night!!
The week went by so fast even though it was 7 days on a boat...we went to every location we wanted plus some. Xavier knew exactly when the best times would be for snorkeling, seeing turtles, exploring the Baths (when all of the people had left); he even knew how to keep us out of the stormy weather! We enjoyed hiking on the islands, tennis at two resorts, sailing at Bitter End and spa treatments on shore. They really did an amazing job keeping all of us happy.

I just want to thank you for your advice and organization of my charter onboard VACOA during our Easter break.We had a fantastic tour onboard a great boat, run by a very professional, knowledgable and service minded crew. My family and I enjoyed every minute and we will certainly come back in not too distant future. Just a quick check in after a most delightful week on the water with great friends and a fantastic crew! The chef Christine was also over the top on professional skills and food quality/presentation, and always pleasant and open to teaching us about her dishes and how they were prepared. As a business owner myself, I know it is important to get prompt and direct feedback and consider this a 100+ score, simply blew us away! It goes without saying that the captain and crew had our comfort and hospitality in mind 24/7; and clearly a crack sailing team.

Well done! The Vacoa and crew were perfect for our team of six non-adventurers. I have already recommended them to other friends. I know we will be in touch again next year.
